- Elephant Sanctuary Hartbeespoort - It will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes to arrive at the location. On arrival you will have a 15 minute rest stop. The elephant walk takes approximately 2 hours. You will have the once-in-a-lifetime experience to walk alongside elephants in their natural environment. You will be able to appreciate how magnificent and huge these creatures are. The elephant carers will also share amazing information on their personalities, what they eat, how big they grow, their life expectancy and more. The walk is not too long or arduous so if you can walk you will be fine. Children must be accompanied by an adult. After the elephant walk you will have 15 minutes to browse the curio shop and get refreshments. Then we will return to the original pick up location which will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Safely Walk with Elephants in a Sanctuary Up Close and Personal - Private, personalized, ethical, once-in-a-lifetime experience to literally walk with protected wild African Elephants. Exceeded my expectations from the start. Janine is passionate about protecting the species and the environment and was very patient with all my 70th Birthday bucket list questions. Brilliant half-day adventure on an easy pace with children, couples and other singles. Highly recommend - 5 Star!
