Excellent trip - This was an excellent experience, riding rough rutted roads but seeing a leopard and elephant along with many water buffalo. Worth the money/experience.

7 Star Experience - What an absolute fun day with Bentota Travel Mart safari tour. We enjoyed to the maximum. We did not waste a single minute. The moment we arrived we were picked right in front of the cruise, warmly welcomed and taken by a nice car to the Safari. Got nice refreshments on the way. And then the safari was the luckiest day ever as we saw a group of Leopards and they were walking very close. We also saw many other animals too. The Safari jeep was very well maintained and was up to our expectations. Everything was nicely explained. After the tour we were safely returned and it was a sad goodbye as we did not want to say bye to this wonderful tour. I wish I could pick 7 stars to explain the smooth process from the beginning to the end of the tour. Well done BTM. We will definitely recommend this to everyone.

Best Safari Trip - Thank you Travel Mart for your amazing service and we felt so lucky to find you. We had the best safari trip. From the time we’ve picked up until we came to the cruise, our driver was very helpful. We were picked up right at the cruise, which we realised later, it was the best decision we made as some of the other passengers had to walk to the gate to find their driver. We saw elephants, leopards, buffalos, deers and beautiful birds during safari. We highly recommend them and their services!

The best safari experience! - We had clear pick up information once the booking was made and we were picked up right at the cruise. Our friends booked with a different service provider and they had to travel to the gate to find their driver. From pick up to and end was organized very smoothly. as soon as came out of the cruise, we saw our driver holding our name board. We had a very good full day Safari with delicious lunch in the beach. Our driver Shashi is a wonderful guy who did a fantastic job spotting animals. We saw Leopard, Elephants with a baby, Water Buffalo, Lizards, deers and many more with few different birds. All in all it was a wonderful experience and something to remember for a long long time. Thank You for Bentota Travel Mart for organizing such a wonderful experience. Highly Recommended

Good Half-Day Tour of Yala in the Morning - We were picked up right outside our cruise ship in the morning where they had a sign with our name on it. We were taken by car to Yala where we got into a safari vehicle with a driver and a guide got in after the entrance to the park. Sorry that I couldn't add photos as they were over the size limit. We had a very good half-day tour and saw quite a few animals: water buffalo, a large lizard, a group of deer, some crocs, bee eater birds and two different elephants right next to our vehicle plus another one swimming. We didn't see any leopards, but we know that others did that same day. It was pretty bumpy as the roads there have been washed out by the recent rain, but we were OK. We'd recommend it even if you don't see as many animals.

Yala Safari from Hambantota Cruise Port - An amazing excursion we saw lots of wildlife during the day, our driver from excellent getting close up so we could get great shots of the animals. We did this excursion from the cruise terminal they picked us up on time when we docked and got us back to the ship in plenty of time for our departure time, this excursion is a lot cheaper than the ships excursion to the same park

Special day - This was a special day - we didn’t manage to see leopard but saw everything else we could have hoped for. The highlight was having a family of elephants gently nudging our jeep out of their way - a wonderful experience

Well planned trip from a very professional company. - The pre-trip communication with Sam from Bentota Travel was excellent. We met our driver directly off of the cruise ship, avoiding the need for the 2km shuttle to/from the port gate. The tour, vehicle, and driver were excellent, and we saw a lot of interesting animals. The prepared lunch was also excellent.

A Brilliant Trip - We had a brilliant time. Our driver and guide Aloo picked us up from the cruise ship and off we went. Aloo must have Eagle Vision or some other super power as he was pointing out things that we found difficult spot at first whilst driving over the rough terrain at the same time. We saw elephant, wild boar, water buffalo, mongoose monitor lizard and load of different birds. All in all. A wonderful experience.

Underwhelming - Having never been on a safari we choose the half day excursion. We were collected from the ship by an open sided jeep which then drove us to Yala National Park, a journey of about one and half hours, along uneven local roads and the motorway. Followed by a bumpy ride around the park for 2 hours. The guide pointed out the various animals to us and did his best to compete with the other jeeps to get the best viewing spot. We saw a number of birds, deer, wild boar, water buffalo, peacocks, lizards, crocodiles and elephants. The monkeys we saw were outside of the park. Although we knew we were unlikely to see a leopard in the short time we were there, we did expect see more variety of animals. There was a lot of bumping around with too many jeeps competing to get the closest to the animals, in fact I think the noise did more to frighten them away. The toilets facilities were dreadful, best avoided. Overall it was a disappointing expensive trip. Perhaps if you had a full day or an early morning slot you may have more chance of seeing more.
