Mt. Helgafell, the standout landmark of Hafnarfjörður, enjoys massive popularity among its residents.

We’ll pick you up and then drive to Kaldársel. We’ll fill our water containers with pure water from the Kaldá river, sourced from the Kaldárbotnar wells.

We’ll hike through lava fields until we reach Mt. Helgafell, a palagonite mountain. Although it involves a short ascent, the mountain is relatively easy to climb, suitable even for children aged 8 and above. The views from the summit over the Reykjanes peninsula and the capital area are simply stunning.

Once we carefully descend, our guide will have a pleasant surprise for you in the vehicle before dropping you off at your initial location.

This excursion also incorporates mindfulness, as your local guide also happens to be a yoga instructor. Our wish is that you leave with a sense of tranquillity and a deeper connection to nature.
