- Rocinha - After meeting with the Tour Guide, there will be a short initial talk about how the tour works, answering questions and ground rules. After this, the tourists will take an educational sightseeing walking tour all the way down, with OPTIONAL places for Souvenir shopping (that serves as donations to the Favela), Lunch at a local family restaurant and lots of beautiful places for pictures.

Amazing favela tour with a local guide - I highly recommend this tour to anyone staying in Rio. We were a bit hesitant booking this tour but our guide luiz put our minds at rest and opened our eyes on life in a favela. I guarantee you will truly see what life is really like instead of what the films show you! I'd recommend doing a favela tour with a local guide, luiz was very knowledgeable and open to answering any questions we had. Thanks luiz!

Amazing tour of the favela - We really enjoyed this tour of the favela. Luiz was very kind and knowledgeable as he grew up and lives in the favela. He was very welcoming and happy to answer any questions. It gave me a new perspective on the favelas - it was very interesting and different to what I expected. I felt safe with Luiz the whole time, would highly recommend!

Extremely knowledgeable and friendly. From the Favela and speak English. - Luis is very knowledgeable. He told us everything that we would want to know and answered all of our questions. He and is family are from the favela. He has first hand experience. He has outstanding English and is very friendly. I definitely recommend him!!

Amaaaazing experience - It was amazing! Luiz gave us rich informations about the community and their urban dynamics. Luiz is an excellent guide, and he speaks very good English. About the Favela: I felt very safe and welcomed by the community. It is important to take the tour so that you can see the REAL part of Rio de Janeiro. Also, I realized that the favela is different from what the media shows. I totally recommend!

A tour into the heart of Rocinha - Luis is very kind and made us a very interesting and far from crowds tour into the heart of Rocinha. You see that he's an expert, as he has grown up there.
