Apart from the incredible landscape that rivals Li River, Yulong River especially owns a more peaceful and vivid scenery with ancient villages and bridges along with daily life scenes of local people.
Our guide & driver will meet you at the Yangshuo/Guilin hotel at 9am & driving to the Yulong river.
From Yangshuo hotel, we need 20-30 minutes driving.
From Guilin hotel, we need 90 minutes driving.
  • Yulong Bridge - Yulong Bridge was built in Yongle Period Ming Dynasty. It is a stone bridge with a length of 36 meters, a width of 4.2 meters and a height of 9 meters. Expressing a magnificent feeling, Yulong Bridge is in a simple style but featured minority characters.

Yulong Bridge is located in the Yulong River Scenic Area. Without any man-made attractions, this area is the largest natural landscape garden. Yulong River is one of the international natural heritages popular with people from all over the world.

  • Xianggong Mountain - Xianggong Mountain is located on the west bank of Li River between Huangbu Shoal and Nine-Horse Mural Hill. An ascent of the hill is rewarded with a bird’s eye view of the Li River winding through countless peaks. Great day out in Yangshuo - Jackie spoke good English and was very flexible. He knew exactly where to go and which photos to take. He made all of the ticketing and admin seamless. He even bought our ice cream when we couldn’t get Weixin to work!

an intimate touch of China - Magic for the off roads location. Imagine full nights without a sound... the little montains offer a stronger isolation feeling... except for the tour operators favorite spots. Food is excellent with a farming all around. And ***** for the Tea Cosy Hotel all together for his ancient chinese style covering very comfortable facilities. Staff make you at home at the first step in. Food is at the top for foreign and asian hungry people. Lotus garden keeping the back of the hotel away from sound and smell pollution...

Greatest hits with an excellent guide! - Andy and David (we set up two one-day tours) were both fantastic guides. They speak English very well and are awesome, fun people. They are safe and conscientious drivers and knew all the cool spots to go around the area. Andy was able to tailor our trip to what we were looking for and work within our budget. We had such a blast and would definitely call Andy again for any local tours!

Pleasant trip in comfort - Andy our guide speaks good English and Chinese and is very patient. Quite important is he drives carefully over the long distances which we need to travel. The bamboo raft was nice amidst the cool weather now and the climb up to Xianggong mountain was well worth for the fantastic views

Captuing the Heights - We again had Leo guide our 3rd tour from in Guilin, It was another way to capture the fantastic river and mountain views of this unique region of China. Leo was an excellent driver and thoughtful guide, making sure we were comfortable and safe during our journey. He also pointed out "best" spots for our photos. We would definitely use Leo as a guide should our travels take us back to Guilin.

Knowledgeable and flexible tour guide - Andy covered all the main sites in Yangshuo and was willing to go out of his way to accommodate our schedule. Also, since it is a private tour, he is willing to be very flexible with the time. Friendly guy and English is extremely fluent.

Such a wonderful experience! - We spent 2 fantastic days with Andy. Before getting to China, we thought this private tour was expensive, however, after seeing the distance we travelled and the amount of amazing sites we visited it was well worth the money. Andy was very accommodating, entertaining and well organised. He had all our tickets pre-booked which meant we never had to queue for any of the sites. Day One: - Elephant Hill - Long hair village - Longji Rice terraces We spent the full day with Andy, started around 8.30AM and didn't get back until after 6PM. Andy gave us tonnes of information about each of the sites. He also gave us time to explore on our own which was nice. We explored Elephant Hill and Andy brought us around the Long Hair Village. The rice terraces were a long drive away, however, well worth the drive! Andy brought us on a long hike along the terraces, spectacular views with great conversation throughout the hike! We tried some wild strawberries, learned about the different types of Bamboo, history of the rice terraces and we took great photos! We stopped off in a local restaurant for lunch and tried Bamboo Rice as well as some local pork dish - amazing and tasty! Andy gave us time to walk back along the trails ourselves and met us at the bottom of the terraces once we were done. When we were dropped back at our Hotel, Andy gave us some tips on where to visit that evening in Guilin. Day Two: Yangshuo Xianggong Hill Yulong river area Moon hill Li-River cruise from Xingpiing with a bamboo raft Liusanjie light show We met Andy early on day 2 and once again, a very successful day! First on the list was Yangshuo Xianggong Hill . This was a long drive from Guilin and over 400 steps to reach the top, however, once there you have the most beautiful view of the river and mountains. There was no one else at the peak during the same time which meant we were able to get some great photos! We then drove to the Yulong River area and walked along the river bank. This area was really idilic and the views were great from the bottom of the mountains. We stopped off in a local village for lunch and had some pork noodle soup! This gave us plenty of energy to enjoy the rest of the tour. We visited Moon Hill. We were happy Andy only took us here for a photo visit as it was quite busy and we were happy enough just taking a photo and moving on. After this we went to enjoy the Li-River boat cruise. The views of the mountains were magical. The boat journey lasted about 1 hour and it was a memorable experience. Andy dropped us to our hotel in Yangshuo and we had time to checkin and explore Yangshuo before meeting him again that night to go to the Light Show. Andy had pre-booked tickets for us and the seats were perfect. The show itself was really great and the natural background of the mountains made it really special. Be sure to bring some mosquito spray!! Andy had a great sense of humour and we laughed a lot during our two days together! We would definitely recommend Andy to anyone wishing to visit these great places. He is very reliable and really ensures you have a great time. Thank you Mr. Lee for showing us these amazing places! P.s. If you find the gold let us know ;)!!
