Highlights
  • Yulong River - The Yulong River, known as ‘the Little Li River’, is a tributary of the Li River. It starts in Northern Yangshuo County. Featuring the dramatic karst landscape, silky water, and ancient bridges, the river is a great place for bamboo rafting.

The most popular way to enjoy the scenery of the Yulong River is to take a bamboo raft. Even if you have experienced a cruise or bamboo rafting on the Li River, you should not miss this smaller, quainter river.

The longest raft route starts at Jinlong Bridge and ends at Jiuxian Bridge. It takes about 1.5-2 hours. Most visitors prefer to choose a this section of the river for a raft ride.

Biking past the rice paddies and towering mountains as you explore the countryside around Yangshuo just like Jimmy Carter, the former U.S. President, did when he visited here in 1987. Explore the untouched countryside and enjoy scenery and local flair with your private guide. Andy is the best!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - ANDY was the best! Very professional and took care of everything. Even when we changed our plans, he had other ideas of things to do and we had a great time! If you want to really see Yangshuo or Guilin, work with Andy!!

Wonderful May Day Holiday in Yang Suo - Andy and his team are quite flexible and efficient. We didn’t do homework at home. Only called Andy when we arrived Yangsuo. Andy was busy with his tour. But he still managed to arrange tour on next day for us. Mr Xu is our private guide plus driver. He knows Guilin quite well. With his help, we successfully avoided the crowds and enjoyed the core beauty of Yang Suo. He is extremely reliable. We spent two days and half with him. that’s the highlight of our trip. Can’t wait to be back again:)

Certainly not worth the money. - We paid £110 each and a further £32 for the raft ride, (I'm sure it would have been a fraction of that if paid locally). Picked up at 9 went on the raft (really good) then onto the bike, after about 2 miles (15 minutes) our driver asked if that was enough, we carried on for a further couple of miles when we were told we were turning back (bear in mind our driver was on a scooter) I'm a keen cyclist and had been looking forward to this ride for it to come to an end so shortly. (34'c no water supplied or towels to dry ourselves) We went for dinner, I asked the driver what was planned for us now and he basically said that was it, I asked about going to Youngshou were he replied, it's full of Starbucks. And KFC and is not worth a visit, so I asked is that it then £252 for 4 hours, he said we'll there's not much else here. That didn't go down well with me and I let him know that, £252 for 4 hours (when it said full day), and he put his meal and beer on our bill. I told him I wasn't happy and thought the value for money for the tour was ridiculous he kept saying he was only the driver. He went off on the phone and when he came back I asked him to take us anywhere, just not back to the hotel, we paid the bill 1st removing his meal. He drove us to Yangshou which was less than 10 miles away (it's well worth a visit), and then turned into a different person giving us a guided tour, then on the way home pointing out places of interest and stopping for photos, he dragged the day out to 5 o'clock and kept asking if I was going to leave a bad review. In all £252 for 4 hours until I well kicked off then it turned into an ok day. If we would have had the full day without mouthing off then it certainly wouldn't be worth the money.
