Excellent tour - Excellent tour guide (Mauricio) is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about all the sites we visited. Also had very insightful conversations about traditions and politics in Colombia. Very enjoyable journey!

Fantastic tour and guide - There are so many companies that offer tours to El Peñol and Guatapé but if you prefer a personalized experience, you should book this tour. My driver and tour guide, Juan, was fantastic- he communicated with me before he came to pick me up, spoke very good English and tailored the trip according to my needs. He drove safely and carefully. I decided not to climb the rock, but we went there to see it and take photos from the beautiful surroundings. I am fascinated with Guatapé and its colorful, unique zócalos, and wanted to spend more time there simply to roam the streets and take photos. Juan showed me the most important sights and told me interesting stories about them, and then let me explore on my own as I wanted. It's true, Guatapé is the most colorful town in the world. Next time I visit Colombia I will stay there for a few days there. I am so happy to have booked this tour with Discovering Medellin and to have had Juan as my tour guide. Thank you for a memorable experience!

Coffee and Guatape - We visited a coffee farm, interesting to see how much work it was to produce coffee. We also visited Guatape. It was definitely the highlight of Medellin! Beautiful views from the top of the rock. Our guide was Andres. He speaks English and we could understand him well. We have enjoyed the full day tour thoroughly.

A lovely day in Guatape! - I had a lovely tour experience with Juan. We were lucky enough to do the tour on a Wednesday so Guatape was quiet and not crowded. This is an ideal way to see the town, and El Penol. One was very knowledgeable about the history of the town. I also appreciated his excellent driving skills. He was friendly, but respectful, and as a female soul traveler, I felt very safe and comfortable. I highly recommend.

A must do! - This day excursion from Medellin was the perfect mix. We had enough time to do everything we wanted and the tour guide was more than accommodating to our needs. We visited Colombia for 10 days and some of our best photos came from this excursion. We had a great time!

Amazing day with Daniel! - Daniel was the most amazing tour guide. He is so incredibly knowledgeable in so many subjects. we learned so much during our tour. He was always super accommodating and kind. Guatape was beautiful and so was el Peñol and Daniel took us also to the most amazing restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and would highly recommend to anyone else that they book this tour!

Amazing Tour with Juan - Juan was our guide for the day and we enjoyed an informative tour with him at our own pace. His English is excellent and he shared a wealth of knowledge and his love of soccer/football with us, which my husband appreciated. We went on a weekday to avoid the crowds at the rock. The tour ended with a delicious local lunch. We highly recommend this tour and Juan who did an amazing job showing us the beautiful sights of Guatape. It's well worth the money for a private tour.

Great excursion, request a bigger car if you are a group of 4 - We had a great time at the coffee plantation and our guide Juan was great. The only negative was they sent a Volkswagen Jetta for 4 of us and the 2-hour drive each way was very tight and uncomfortable. If they had sent a bigger vehicle it would have been a perfect experience

Medium - Bottom line experience: better to hire a driver for a day to see these beautiful sites. The guide spoke English and delivered us to all places, and agreed to make an extra stop on the way back. We avoided a line to buy tickets to attraction. The information provided however was sparse and neither correct, nor reliable. We were told to explore at our speed and leisure, but were politely forced to do, go, eat what when and how the guide wanted and our eagerness to see and explore these attractions felt politely unwelcome.
