- Nesjavallavirkjun - We will pass through Nesjavellir where Iceland’s second largest geothermal station is located. This is the supply of hot water for the capital region used for central heating and electricity generation. On our way to Nesjavellir we drive alongside the hot water pipe which runs from the power plant to the city. (This route is only passable during summer time).
