Canadians booking with Green Motion in the US, beware. - I booked a mid size rental car from Green Motion through Economy Booking for pick up on Feb 3. Upon arrival at the rental office near the Orlando FL airport, I was told that they would not accept my Canadian auto collision and liability insurance and would have to pay an additional 300 USD for the company insurance. No where in the terms of my reservation was there mention of refusal of Canadian auto insurance. I have used my own insurance for 15 years when renting cars in the US at every other car rental firm, without question or incident. I wasn’t prepared to bay the additional charge so cancelled the reservation on the spot and booked with Thrifty, who accepted my Cdn insurance.
