Highlights
  • Windsor Castle - The town of Windsor is best known for its historical links to the British royal family, and it is suitably steeped in pageantry and history.
Towering over the rest of the town is Windsor Castle, the ancestral home of the English and later British monarchy, and largest inhabited castle in the world.
It has been the family home of British kings and queens for almost 1,000 years and is today one of the official residences of His Majesty The King.
Occupying over 10.5 hectares, the Castle offers a varied day out for visitors, including a visit to the magnificent State Apartments and St George’s Chapel. The Castle’s State Apartments are furnished with some of the finest works from the Royal Collection, reflecting the changing tastes of the Castle’s royal occupants, particularly those of Charles II and George IV.
Many of the works of art are still in the historic settings for which they were first collected or commissioned by the kings and queens who have lived at Windsor.

Well narrated, quick paced full day tour - Our tour guide was Robert and the driver was Damian. They were a fantastic duo. Robert kept our interest with a robust retelling of history - the history of London, the monarchy through the ages, famous historical figures, and many more topics. He complimented his stories with pictures on his phone, weaving together a well told narrative for his guests. He held our attention for the times when we waited on queues, making the time well spent. The tour is fast paced and we could have easily spent more time in Windsor Palace and Oxford. The experience was well worth the time and expense- great memories for years to come! Thank you Robert!

Prehistoric to Riyal Life - Very well paced tour. There was a good balance between time in the bus and the time at the three places visited. Saul was a great resource.

Great day and well organised - Loved Stonehenge the most. Would have preferred to stay longer in Windsor than Oxford. Our opinion was our time at Windsor should have been longer.

Without guide would have been the same... - Even if the visited places were amazing, the audioguide didn't work at the Victoria coach station and hasn't been replaced despite the fact that I paid for it. Consequently, I visited amazing places without provided informations (Stonehenge and Windsor Castle). The guide was alone for the +- 40 people group and was speaking very softly so I couldn't here him when he was giving explications while visiting Oxford. I'll end with a positive note, the organisation was very good and the schedule respected. I definitly recommend the experience but it would be great to have working audioguides and 2 guides for such a group!
