Unlike the dumplings you find at your local Chinatown or Dim Sum stores, these dumplings are the genuine ones relished in Chinese homes, particularly in Northern China - the homeground of dumplings, where they form an essential part of the everyday meals.
In this couture dumpling class, you will learn the art of dumpling creation under the tutelage of our expert Chinese cuisine instructor, Pan. You will be guided on how to prepare your dishes using traditional techniques. Ensuring an inclusive and attentive learning environment, the class size is kept restricted ensuring Pan’s undivided attention in addressing all your queries.
The class commences with a brief overview of the dumpling universe and Asian gastronomy — you will gain insight into the heritage of dumpling creation and their relevance in contemporary culinary trends.

Walk along the river for less than five minutes, once get into Brunswick quay and you will arrive at our house. In front of the house, there is a small square with bronze statue. Opposite the house there is a pub near dock called The Moby Dick.

Very authentic - She was very warm and inviting. She was very easy to be taught from and she showed me how to make everything, followed by letting me take over. I feel very confident in my dumpling abilities and will be making some today !

An amazing experience in the home of the nicest Chinese lady. - The teacher, Pan, welcomed my wife and I in from the pouring London rain. She took our wet coats and gave us clean towels to dab ourselves dry.
We then sat for a chat to get to know each other over some tea. Wow what a gracious host she is!
Then it was down to (fun) business as she showed us how to make her delicious dumplings from scratch, starting with mixing the dough.
After a couple hours of hands-on learning from delightful and cheeky Pan, we got to sit at her table and gorge ourselves with the 3 different flavors of dumplings we’d just made. We had enough to take home for another full meal for two.
The class involves kneading dough, light knife work to prepare the veg, mixing of ingredients into the meat, rolling the skins then filling them. All the while Pan demonstrating first, then allowing us to get our hands in there ourselves. You get better pretty quickly as she shows you tips and tricks!
We enjoyed ourselves immensely and highly recommend her class.

The gift of dumplings - Pan's dumpling cooking class was incredible - I would strongly recommend it to everyone! The session was very informative and fun, and Pan was warm and welcoming. We particularly enjoyed learning about the different filling combinations and the technique for folding the dumplings. The perfect cosy afternoon experience, and a gift that will keep on giving now that my boyfriend and I are more confident in making dumplings for the future! great experience - Such a great experience. Pan is very welcoming and great at explaining all of the traditional Chinese techniques! Her recipes are so delicious and we made so many dumplings. We even had enough to take home with us! Pan also served us with traditional Chinese tea throughout the session. We would definitely go again.

Dumplings From Scratch and SO FUN - My husband and I have done cooking classes all over the world. Hands down this was one of my favs. Xia is so kind and knowledgeable and we had such a fun and laid back time making the dough, filling, and dumplings ALL from scratch. I am 100% confident I can go home and make dumplings because of her guidance and what an amazing skill to remember London by!! If you are looking for a comfortable and hands on experience that you’ll never forget: you found it!!!!

Delicious dumplings and great host! - Pan is an excellent host! We showed up to her class and surprised her because Viator had erroneously sent her a cancellation message which was not correct. She jumped into action anyway and we had a great time! We learned so much about the humble, yet versatile Chinese dumplings and have a greater appreciation for the effort that goes into perfecting them. The Best Dumplings in London! - Thank you Pan for inviting us into your lovely home and kitchen. We both learnt a huge amount not only about dumpling making but also about Chinese culture and cuisine. During the session, we made the dumpling wrappers as well as three different filings. Once we had finished cooking, we enjoyed our dumplings with some delicious Chinese tea and smacked cucumbers. We are excited to have a go at making dumplings at home with Pan's recipe. We would really recommend this to couples - there is no better way to spend a morning!
