Additional Information

We are based in the village of Delodsema in Taro, which is located to the north of Ubud. This is my home village where I was born and raised! Your journey starts at our home, where only 50 families live. We’re delighted to show you around Bali, especially our tiny community. Upon arrival at our home, we’ll welcome you with a cup of fresh herbal tea or coffee. Subsequently, you’ll have an opportunity to make your own Coconut Oil.

Coconut oil has gained tremendous traction within the natural health realm, and understandably so. Here, you will learn how to produce authentic coconut oil, adhering to the traditional Balinese method, which typically takes between 1 to 1.5 hours to complete.

As we wait for the oil to be ready, we’ll indulge in a coconut scrub massage and explore the local environment, soaking in the culture and traditional houses of our village. After the coconut oil production ends, you’ll be given the oil as a souvenir to take back home.

Recommend - It was a unique and exotic experience that can only be done with the locals in Bali. It was special because we made the oil using traditional methods. It was great to explore the local homes of Balinese people while making the oil.

Once in a lifetime experience - Went here with my young daughter, Family was lovely and welcoming and had a beautiful home, loved the experience for the cultural side and the hospitality very accommodating to my 3 year old who loved the animals they have around. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting something different within Ubud. Thank you so much.

Great experience! - It was an amazing experience to produce our own coconut oil. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and their village was so beautiful. It was really interesting to see the process of making coconut oil and we also got to try fruits they grow at their village. They also took really nice photos of us :) We would definitely recommend this workshop when visiting Bali!

The family who greeted and teached us were so welcoming ❤️ It is definitely worth the price, would recommend x1000. However, I suggest you book with transportation, because it can be difficult to find taxi

What a terrific, and highly enjoyable experience! - This was a great experience that we both thoroughly enjoyed. We were given the opportunity to share in each step of the process, while still being able to produce some beautiful coconut oil at the end (our lack of expertise was managed so well). We were given a tour around the family compound and got to see the entire use of a coconut (both the coconut and the tree). Our guides through the process were friendly and patient with us and the massage with the grated coconut fibres was indulgent! If you're going to this class, think about booking in for the silver making class in Delodsema as well. We went out there twice over two days but it would be a great opportunity for a morning session with one, and an afternoon session with the other to save yourself am extra trip out there.
