Largest Pagoda In Vietnam and Skull Island Village Setting! - Beautiful tour to Ninh Bing that will help you fill up one of your days in Hanoi. With hotel pick up in Hanoi’s old quarter it is very Easy to join your tour as they will come and get you at your designated meeting time which is communicated with you via email after you make your booking. The drive is about 2 hours but broken up with a quick stop in the middle. Your first stop in Ninh Binh is at Trang An, a very beautiful recently made temple (guide advised it was completed in 2010). The temple is located on a hill so there is a little bit of an uphill walk to get to the main visiting points of Trang An. Very beautiful site with lots of greenery, unfortunately the visit does to include time or entrance into the Pagoda itself but the site is very beautiful. After Trang An you continue to your Buffet Lunch, lots of options available so you will not leave hungry. The local delicacy is goat meat, which you’ll see local stands along the road all over serving. At the restaurant the have a goat soup along with a crispy rice patty which pairs nicely. It’s an interesting Combination for any adventurous food eaters out there. After lunch you get to eat part of the tour! A rowboat will take you through the Cliffs of the setting of Kong: Skull Island. Now for any big fans of the movie you’ll immediately realize this is not quite the exact set. This is because after the movie was filmed all of the props/sets/etc were disassembled and returned to the USA. Local tourism constructed a replica which is still very impressive as a small attraction inside of the cliffs. I would recommend this tour to anyone who would like to enjoy a day out of Hanoi to see some sights that you may not be able to experience if you’re just hitting the bigger cities.
