- Ribeira das Cales-Zona 39 - Designed for newcomers to canyoning, this route is straightforward and easy to navigate, typically taking between 2 to 2.5 hours to complete.
This canyoning adventure is situated in the southern central region of the island, specifically within the “Parque Ecológico do Funchal.”
Participants will navigate a variety of natural challenges, including four rappelling descents, the tallest of which is 15 meters high. Interspersed with these rappelling opportunities are leaps into small natural pools and slides.

canyoning at the top - excellent first canyoning experience. Pedro and Andréia were super friendly and their explanations very clear. Even a little French for our teenager who is hesitant in English.

Just go for it ! - Exhilarating experience. Certainly, one off the bucket list. Andre and Edgar were excellent guides who explained instructions clearly and looked after us very well. I am over 50, and my husband over 60 so don't let age get in the way. I am not a strong swimmer again that wasn't a problem as the guides are with you every step of the way.

Don't miss the opportunity - For a complete beginner as me, canyoning in Madeira is an unforgettable experience, thanks to two experienced guides. With no experience jumping in a cold water or climbing, I came out of this adventure safe and sound :) I wished the canyoning would last even longer! Definitely going to repeat.

Amazing fun - Wow. Do this activity! You will not regret this experience. It is challenging climbing over rocks and swimming short distances and my arms were sore from rappelling but I don’t regret it at all! The guides, Daniel and Andre, made me feel very comfortable and safe. They love their job and it shows. The water is cold but all your gear is supplied. You don’t need to worry about pictures and they get the best shots of you!
