Our journey will commence from the hotel, heading towards one of the seven wonders of the Modern World, a tour of the Itaipu Hydroelectric Plant. This will allow us a panoramic view from a strategically placed observation point.

The plant is situated on the Paraná River, which forms the border between Brazil and Paraguay. This approximately 90-minute visit is undertaken in an open tour bus that travels through the world’s second-largest hydroelectric plant. A documentary (approximately 30-minutes long) about Itaipu, including its construction and environmental conservation initiatives, will be shown at the Visitor Reception Center.

From there, we will travel to the dam, pausing at the lookout to appreciate the view of the dam and the water spillway. Provided the weather is favourable, we will ascend to the top of the dam for a stunning view of Lake Itaipu. Concluding the visit, we will stop by the souvenir shop, giving you the opportunity to bring a tangible memento of this remarkable experience home. Afterward, we will return to the hotel.
