Memorable part of honeymoon - This was so fun! We did it as part of our honeymoon in Italy. I’ve never made my own pasta before and the final product was DELICIOUS. We got to talk to other travelers as well and it just made the experience so much more fun. The chefs were very friendly and helped you. Definitely recommend this class!

Take this class while in Florence - My 11 & 13 year olds voted for this activity while in Florence and we are so glad we did it. A quick 15 min walk from the center of Florence and well worth it. We learned how to make 3 kinds of pasta, sauces and dessert. There were about 40 pp in total but was broken down into groups of 10-12 working in two stations. We had a group of 5 at our station which was perfect. The chef demonstrated and was very patient. He helped my 11 year old who was having a little trouble with the pasta machine. They also managed to alter the menu for my lactose intolerant kid. The food was delicious and it was fun to try all the different pastas. Don’t come starving as it does take some time to cook everything. We starting eating around 7:20pm and ended around 8:20pm.

Fun Basic Experience; Many People - My 20 year old son and I had a really fun evening. The instructor and assistants were all very friendly and knowledgeable. Resulting food was delicious. However I feel that they should have far fewer in a class. We had 24 people split between 4 prep tables. When gathered around one table for the demonstration it was very difficult to see. Though efforts were made to include everyone, the tasks were menial, such as pouring a bowl of tomatoes into a pot or stirring. 90% of the time we just stood there, which was still very enjoyable just not active and a little boring at times (and wine doesn't come until the dinner is served at the end!). The most intense (and fun) was each of us making our own pasta dough and later the pasta itself, although we shared one big tube of filling for the ravioli and one person at our table only had enough to make one ravioli by the time it was her turn to use it! As long as you're not looking for an intense cooking experience you'll enjoy it. I am often a solo traveler, and although I usually love this sort of thing to he around people, I would not recommend this particular class for solo travelers just because there is a lot of down time and I think it would be awkward standing alone.
