Additional Information

Upon collection from your accommodation, our journey takes us to the northern region of the island. After crossing the border, we stop by Salamis, a city established by Teucer in 1180 BC. Our voyage continues to the historic town of Famagusta, where its grand walls serve as a testament to the city’s illustrious history and defense against invaders. Subsequent to this, we tour the St. Nicholas Cathedral (now transformed into the Lala Mustafa Pasha mosque) – a venue where numerous Cypriot and Jerusalem rulers were once crowned during the Lusignani era. We’ll take a leisurely stroll along the quaint streets of Famagusta, taking in views of the fortress and Othello tower from afar. To wrap up, we’ll traverse the streets of Varosha – a place rechristened as the ‘Ghost town’ post the 1974 dispute.
