Additional Information
Sandy Bottoms Sailing offers personalized snorkeling, and island hopping tours to the off shore islands of Puerto Rico in our 47 ft, Beneteau Sailboat. Our tours are always private (max of 6 guests) and designed around you & your parties’ desires. Snorkel, swim, relax on a float, sun bathe on the deck, sip cocktails on a white sandy beach!
Depending on ocean conditions, we visit Palomino, Lobos, and/or Icacos. We do not go to Culebra.
Our boat holds a maximum of six passengers so that we may provide you with the best service and experience. We are also one of the only companies offering open bar with a selection of tropical cocktails to sample and enjoy!
Our Captain has over 20 years of experience sailing, teaching, & racing in regattas around the world. We adapt our daily schedules around you and your desires to snorkel, sail, or just relax.
A large selection of appetizers & our full ship bar are included. Please feel free to bring additional food or beverages if you desire.
- Children under 4 are not allowed for their own safety. The ever changing ocean conditions & our boat size are factors
- Pregnant woman are not allowed because of the ocean conditions and the distance to a nearby hospital. You and your baby’s safety are our top priority.

We are located inside the largest Marina in the Caribbean, Puerto del Rey, located in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. We are about one hour from San Juan.

Worth every penny!! - My family and I had a wonderful time sailing and snorkeling with Captain Arturo and Christy. It was the highlight of our vacation in Puerto Rico! The snorkeling was the best! It was so cool to see the sea turtles, stingrays, and all the colorful fish.
My daughter even tried the paddle boarding while my husband and I just floated in the water and relaxed. The food and drinks were incredible, and it was fun to just hang out on their beautiful sailboat.
I would recommend taking Dramamine if you tend to get motion sickness. The waves were pretty big on the way out and back. Overall, it was an amazing adventure that we would highly recommend!!

Great private sailing tour - This was a wonderful trip for our family of 5. The sailing was beautiful and fun. We went snorkeling, swimming and paddle boarding in a beautiful spot. Arturo was a great captain. Christy prepared some amazing appetizers and drinks. We didn’t pack a lunch and didn’t need it. I would highly recommend this private excursion.

Best tour hands down!... - Best tour hands down! Must try it out if you come to PR! We will definitely be back to do it again. Private sailboat with snacks and drinks. You can listen to your own music. Snorkel, paddleboard and so much more!

Very satisfied - We sailed with another couple on Feb 14th. It was a dream. The crew was accommodating and friendly. The drinks kept flowing, the boat is a perfect size for a group of 4-6. I would definitely do it again.

Fun and beautiful! - Amazing! Captain Arturo and Crystal were great. We had a great time, recommend 100%. Relaxing, fun, and beautiful! Snorkeling was fun too. Spotted a turtle, a stingray, and dolphins!

The best tour in Puerto Rico - Sandy bottom sailing was an incredible experience!!!! This is the company to go with. Arturo and Kayla were amazing and personable. We had the best time and it was well worth every dollar spent. The best part of our Puerto Rico trip was our private sail boat tour with them. I can not say enough positive reviews about our experience.

Had a great time and made great memories during our trip to PR! - This was one of the best highlights of our family trip to PR. My family had an incredibly fun time, as well as a nice relaxing trip back to the dock. I think one of the best parts about this is that it was private, just our family and the hosts. We were able to spend time snorkeling, paddle boarding, and enjoying time on the beach. The hosts were accommodating, personable, and made us feel like family. We made some great memories and would definitely refer Arturo's Private Sailing to anyone who wants an amazing experience while in PR.
