Sailing and snorkeling = Fun!! - Rating this experience 5 out 5 for the following reasons: 1) the sail boat was immaculately kept and extremely comfortable 2) the boat was provisioned nicely with assorted meats, cheeses, fruits, spreads and fresh baked Puerto Rican water bread 3) the beverages were an assortment of cocktails, beers and non-alcoholic options. 4) the staff were gracious, fun and extremely knowledgeable in their craft of sailing and the history of the area. 5) safety was a top priority 6) Guests were allowed to explore and have fun in the water. The snorkel gear was clean and well appointed. 7) Arturo and Kristy were super cool and super fun. Loved every second of the trip.

An Amazingly Fun and Unforgettable Experience! - The entire experience was amazing from the time of booking. After I booked it, Katie immediately reached out with all the details and was able to answer my questions. She even managed to accommodate my request to upgrade to the premium bar and lunch version just a week out from the date. Arturo the captain, and Christy were very professional and friendly. We felt that we were in good hands the whole time! I've had a bit of experience with boats and can say that Arturo is a very skilled captain and made safety a top priority. They took us out to Cayo Lobo where we snorkeled and swam in crystal clear water. The coctails, appetizers, and freshly prepared lunch were delicious. They were also able to accommodate my individual guests dietary restrictions when it came to the lunch. They made everything so easy for us, all we needed to do was show up and they took care of the rest. There was no need for us to bring anything but our swimsuits and a towel, they were well stocked with drinks, snacks, and first aid items. I highly recommend upgrading to the version with the lunch and premium bar, it was so worth the extra cost. They also let us play our own music on their speakers. If I ever go on a boat trip again while in Puerto Rico, they will be the ones I book with!

Perfect day Sailing PR - Amazing experience! Captain Arturo and Christy were so friendly and overall amazing. We were completely catered to! They had everything we needed and more. Arturo knew so much and always had answers and facts about the Island and more. Loved that he knew just when to interact and when to let us be. The sail boat is lovely, clean and comfortable. It was an amazing to be able to sail and explore Isla Palomino.

Amazing! - Just awesome. Beautiful sail. Great drinks (pain killers were amazing). Son (19) and daughter (14) enjoyed snorkeling. Would definitely recommend! Worth every penny!

Wonderful private experience! - We had a great time with Captain Arturo and Christy! It was a perfect Caribbean day for sailing and snorkeling. We saw dolphins, turtles, and tons of colorful fish in the spots we sailed to. The food was yummy and the drinks were perfect (and served swiftly!). It was exactly what I was hoping for in a private sail and snorkel trip! Highly recommend.

We were smiling all day! - Our family of 6 enjoyed a magical day of sailing, snorkeling and swimming with Captain Arturo and Christy. It was wonderful to see the diversity of fish and sea life while snorkeling. The snacks and drinks were delicious. And we enjoyed hearing about the area and Puerto Rico from Arturo and Christy. Best day of our entire vacation! - The best day of our entire vacation! Captain Arturo and First Mate Keila were so warm and fun. The boat was amazing. We were so glad we saved it for our last day, because otherwise we would have compared everything to this! Everything was wonderful, and Arturo even took our kids around on the paddle board when they tired of snorkeling. If you're on the fence about booking, just do it! You won't regret it.

AMAZING! - My husband and I recently visited Puerto Rico for our honeymoon. We booked a private sailing excursion with Sandy Bottoms Sailing and it was the highlight of our trip. We met with captain Arturo at Puerto Del Ray, where he took us to his beautiful 47 foot sailboat. Katie had given us very specific instructions so it was easy to find. Once on the boat we met Christie; the two of them had laid out an assortment of drinks and snacks, including fresh local pastries. They walked us through the safety before setting out. We sailed for about an hour before dropping anchor at a small, private island. There, Arturo provided us with snorkeling equipment, paddle boards, and water chairs. We spent the next several hours snorkeling, swimming, and paddle boarding around. The water was warm and clear, allowing us to see lots of beautiful marine life, including many different types of brightly-colored fish, coral, sea anemone, sea urchins, and even a large turtle. In the middle of the day, we took a break to eat, as Arturo and Christie had laid out a huge spread of delicious snacks, including homemade guacamole, hummus, salsa, chips, cheeses, fruits, and some coconut candies Christie's mother had made. Christie also made us piña coladas to drink while we ate. We headed back shortly before sunset, to watch the sunset with the mountains as the backdrop. We listened to music (they have Bluetooth) and chatted on the way back; Arturo and Christie know a ton about Puerto Rico and we got a good tip about a neighborhood close to our hotel (Piñones) that had great food and beaches (which we went to and had a blast!). In all, we truly had an incredibly, unforgettable experience on the water. Arturo and Christie were lovely, kind, accommodating people who were great conversationalists, too. Also, they both spoke perfect English, though we did try to practice our Spanish with them a little bit. If you're visiting Puerto Rico and looking to get out on the water, look no further than Sandy Bottoms Sailing. You won't regret it! (PS. I tend to get motion sickness, but didn't get an upset stomach once).
