Herculaneum, an old Roman settlement, suffered the same fate as Pompeii, having been swallowed up by the Mount Vesuvius eruption in 79 A.D. The historical site, though not fully unearthed, offers a wealth of history and extraordinary archaeological relics within its confined space. A variety of artifacts such as food, apparel, skeletal remains, and wooden household items have been impeccably preserved, courtesy of the specific volcanic material that layered over the region. The tour includes the ancient beach, human remains, residences, villas, marketplaces, public baths, gardens, and a myriad of other attractions that shed light on the everyday life of the yesteryear Romans.

• There is a difference in height between the entrance and the archeological area of about 24 metres that can be done through a tunnel with steps or a bridge, and there isn’t the elevator.
  The accessibility by wheelchair is reduced to a part of the entire area.
  Only small size animals are admitted, to be held in the arms all the time.
