Amazing Tour Guide - We had an amazing experience on this tour. Our guide was an encyclopedia of Swedish history. We could not asked for a better experience.

Great tour - The castle is nice but Catarina made the whole visit that much special. She knew that my wife wanted to see the old town, so she adjusted the schedule accordingly. She did an amazing job on both fronts. She really is an amazing story teller. The palace is worth a visit, especially because the royal family currently lives there.

Great excursion with a private guide - We booked this tour through TripAdvisor and Kate was our driver and private guide. She was wonderful and full of great information about the palace and any other questions that we had. We highly recommend Kate. Very well done.

Tour Guide was well informed - I would have rated it higher however working with the tour operator was challenging. This is a 3 hour tour. That should be clearly stated in the description on the site. Further I got little information from the operator about the tour or itinerary. I did get a question about when I wanted to be picked up - I chose 10:00 am. Then radio silence. On the day of the tour, I was informed I would be picked up at 13:00. Then I was told 11:40. Only after I asked I got the name of my tour guide. My tour guide was lovely and well informed. The itinerary is as follows drive to palace, tour palace and then drive to Chinese pavilion and tour pavilion. We chose to walk from pavilion back to palace. That was lovely. The weather was perfect.

Do not book this tour through Viator! - Our guide Kate was lovely as is Drottningholm, but the man she works for at Viator – unbelievingly rude! After booking my tour and providing all necessary info, I was informed by email that the tour would cost 120 euros more payable the day of the tour. When I tried to pay the additional amount by credit card, Kate could not process it and called the Viator office to do so. Viator said they could not take a credit card (what super large travel business does not take credit cards?) and that I must pay in euros which I did not have. After explaining, I asked again about using a card. After all, I had booked with a credit card! The man on the phone told me he would take a card, but that he would charge a 24 percent processing fee! I politely shared that I thought that was exorbitant and have never been charged that much. He then accused me of trying to cheat him!! I was shocked. He then hung up on me! My guide Kate was embarrassed and apologetic. I volunteered that I could pay her in American dollars and we settled up then.
