- Isle of Purbeck - The Safari will head out exploring the best of the Isle of Purbeck has to offer in our amazing Land Rover Defender. With air conditioning and leather seats, this will be a comfortable and careful safari, exploring the area in style.\nOur most popular safari, starts and ends in Swanage, travelling along country roads, off-road byways and permitted landowners farm tracks. This amazing safari heads high above Corfe Castle, then on to Heaven’s Gate with the most spectacular views of Poole Harbour in the East and Portland to the West, then through the Lulworth Ranges, lost village of Tyneham and the famous Durdle Door. Alternative pick up and drop off locations upon request.\nRefreshments and home-made cake is provided on this safari

Embark on a thrilling 4x4 safari across the breathtaking Purbeck Hills & Jurassic Coast in our specially customized Land Rover Defender.
The journey takes you through rural routes, off the beaten pathways, and authorized farm trails, initially stopping high above Corfe Castle. We will then proceed towards Heaven’s Gate to take in the mesmerizing views of Poole Harbour in the East and Portland on the Western side, followed by a trip through Lulworth Ranges, the deserted village of Tyneham, and the well-known Durdle Door.
Our Defender 110 is fitted with six cozy leather seats for passengers and it’s likely other guests may join your safari. As a matter of fact, the more people the better for a lively safari experience! However, if you’d rather have a private safari just for your group, please check out our separate product listing.

Our meeting point is in the layby on the Ulwell Road, Swanage. Free parking here. Alternatively we can collect you from your holiday accommodation in the Swanage area. Please don't park in Ulwell Holiday Park, thank you.

A Dorset Safari with stunning views! - A friendly, interesting and informative Landrover afternoon trip. We visited the lost village of Tyneham including the church and school. The trip gave stunning views of Poole Harbour, Corfe Castle and much more. To round off the trip we were treated to apple cake and tea. Well worth booking this trip!

All weather activity - would highly recommend! - Incredible views, really off the beaten track - the landrover allowing us to cover paths we’d never be able to go in a car. Encompassing history, culture and nature, Mark was an excellent guide, adapting to your wants and needs and immediately putting you at ease. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic morning - We had a fantastic four hours driving around the Dorset countryside with Mark giving us information about the local area. Mark really knows the history of the county and was very knowledgeable.
Day ended with a welcoming Prosecco and of course there was yummy home made cake at the tea break too.
We will definitely be booking again for the summer

Fantastic experience. - The whole experience from collection to drop off was absolutely incredible. Mark clearly knows all about the local area and you see much more in four hours than you ever could on foot. The stops and views were fantastic. I would highly recommend this experience.

Fantastic! Must-do if visiting Jurassic Coast! - Top-notch tour of the Jurassic Coast area with Mark! There are a multitude of magnificent views, historic spots and a quick visit to a charming village. And if there is a bit of rain, no worries, Mark squeezed in a cider tasting when the weather turned. And on top of that: tea (or hot chocolate or coffee) and unbelievable CAKE at Heavens Gate- an absolutely stunning view! It's a great option for families, or for those who might not have the time or gumption to walk the paths. I have limited mobility (use a walking stick) and enjoyed the trip immensely. Please check with Mark if you think you will have trouble getting in/out of the vehicle, I'm sure he can try to accommodate! Can't recommend enough!

Superb morning with Mark. Loved it! - My wife and I had a brilliant morning with Mark on the Dorset Safari today.
It was a really interesting and fun tour of the area and Mark was a knowledgeable guy with a great sense of humour.
We saw many parts of the local countryside that we wouldn’t have otherwise and my petrolhead needs were more than met on the green lanes.
To top the morning off, Mark took us to a local cider farm where I had a tasting and bought some excellent cider as a souvenir of the day.
Thanks Mark, we wish you all the best for the future success of your tour business.

Superb! - We had a lovely time travelling around Dorset with Mark. He was super personable, great company and really informative, the additional homemade picnic was delicious as well. I would highly recommend this for anyone visiting the Dorset area, definitely the easiest way of seeing everything this county has to offer !!
