THIS ADVENTURE IS UNLIKE YOUR TYPICAL TOURS! My focus is on gastronomy and beverages. The primary aim is to enjoy a drink at each location while indulging in extraordinary food. I offer tours lasting 5 hours. I will be your guide to the area of Seoul that serves the best food, WITHOUT A DOUBT! There are secluded alleys that even locals aren’t familiar with! I have shown many people, including my Korean friends, this area and they unanimously agree it’s absolutely top-notch! Just remember to bring a voracious appetite because we will be sampling lots of different delicacies!
I won’t guide you to places that can be easily found on google or are commercialized. I lead you to destinations that you would not generally stumble upon on your own.
If you follow specific dietary rules, please either refrain from booking or consult with me beforehand. The options for non-meat dishes are limited.
The cost of this food and drink journey does not include the actual food and drinks. Everything is reasonably priced and the expenses are shared among the group members. This arrangement allows you the freedom to choose to try or skip certain dishes.

Great food & drinks in Seoul! - Mike is a great local guide! This was a really fun tour with lots of opportunities to try new food & drinks and meet new people. Well organized and Mike was very willing to customize what we did on the fly during the tour to make sure every person got the experience they were looking for. Group size was perfect for exploring & getting to try a bit of everything (< 12).

Great tour — book it! - Great tour! Food and drink were interesting and delicious. We had already been to the ganging market to eat before the tour so we were a little nervous about repeating a meal but we shouldn’t have been. We ate at several spots in the market that I never even saw on our earlier visit. It was really fun to get a different perspective on Korean cuisine, and also get fun recommendations for other activities for our trip (Majang beef market was a super fun recommendation that wasn’t on our groups radar at all and turned out to be one of the trip’s highlights).

Amazing food tour of Seoul - Great tour with a knowledgeable guide with fluent english. You can tell he is passionate about food and his country. He'll show you places that you may not otherwise discover. Definitely recommend!

Fun street eats! - Excellent food tour. Mike showed us the best places for Korean street eats (food markets are overwhelming with options). Our small group of 5 enjoyed a variety of food stalls, makgeolli tasting, and even a food tent. Pay as you go allows you to control the amount you want to eat and drink. Be adventurous!

The best way to get a taste of Seoul - Mike’s tour was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to South Korea. I would highly recommend to any English-speakers visiting Seoul. If you don’t speak the language, it’s great to go around with someone who can converse with the local venders. Five hours seems like a long tour, but trust me, it flies by. You can spend hours compiling all of the “best of” food places to hit up when you visit Seoul, but Mike knows what’s actually good and what’s overrated. We particularly enjoyed the stop at 7.8 Garage where we got to sample a ton of different makgeolis. We immediately became addicted to the stuff and ended up visiting 7.8’s other location later in our trip to pick up some more bottles.

Was traveling solo and... - Was traveling solo and looking to share food with other english speakers who were willing to try new foods. This tour didn’t disappoint! Mike did a great job explaining why he took us to certain places over others and surprised me when he said he’s tried every stand in the market. You can’t go wrong choosing this tour!

Exactly what it sounds like (and more!) - This is everything you'd want in a back-alley food & drink tour and more. As someone who previously lived in the U.S. and now has lived in Korea for quite a while, Mike is an excellent guide for Westerners. He's knowledgeable about everything food & drink, and will even give you recommendations outside of the tour if you ask for any.
Our group of 11 people was awesome. We didn't want the tour to end, so after the last stop ended at around 8:35pm, we all asked Mike for a place we could all head next (on a Monday night). He gave us the name of one of his favorite tap houses nearby, and the we stayed there until almost 11pm.
If you're looking for a really cool, unique food & drink experience, go ahead and book this!
