Tales of Cho Lon offers a 4-hour pedestrian exploration of the history, gastronomy, and culture of Cho Lon region, recognized as Chinatown in Ho Chi Minh City. Previously a distinct city with its own unique character, contemporary Cho Lon is abundant with tales of various Chinese communities, the arrival of immigrants, the heterogeneity of cultural and religious rituals, coupled with a diversity of foods and beverages.
The excursion will guide you to community halls, the communal- spiritual establishments of various Chinese sects, sample the local delicacies, relish coffee from one of the city’s oldest operational coffee stalls. The path traverses main commerce streets as well as one of Vietnam’s most enormous wholesale markets.
