Not recommended. Bad guide and no historic facts at all. - I'd recommend finding another tour. The guide was funny the first 5 min., but then continued for 1 hour of the 1½ hour drive to mostly share semi-racist and private, critical theories of Vietnam and everything. In general, we did not receive any historic information at all. For example on why the tunnels were there, what battles had been fought, and info about the lifes of Viet Cong-soldiers. We had to read it all on Wikipedia on the way back.... We could hear the many other guides give way more interesting information, such as how the traps worked and the impact on the soldiers and the war. When at the site, instructions were given that we could leave the van to look a some wrecks and old weapons for 10 min. and then meet again. However, it turned out this was the start of 1½ hour touring the tunnels! But either people left water and stuff - OR they brought all their stuff with them! So on this very hot day, it resulted in people either being very thirsty OR not being able to crawl in the tunnels. Because as with the initial message, the guide was not guiding the group (of 11 btw!) at all, so whereas other guides held on to guests' backpacks, some of our group blocked the tunnels because the backpacks hindered them. Some other people on our tour were a bit scared of the tunnels, so this was an even bigger issue for them to be stuck unnecessary for a few minutes! Not to mention how the guide did not at all make them feel accepted to skip the last, long tunnel on about 60 m. by saying in some weird half joke/half serious tone "You have to go". There's more, but you get the gist.

Long drive but interesting area - This is a cool experience with an extensive amount of travel. Two hours each way (4hrs total) for 2 hours worth of experience. Our guide was only ok but we had a good time exploring the tunnels.
