Central Post Office - Water-puppetry is an ancient puppet tradition and an important part of Vietmanese culture. In water-puppetry, puppets are played on the surface of a pool of water, while a Vietnamese orchestra of professional musicians accompanied by an array of talented singers provide background music for the performance. Enjoy watching the puppet show and learning more about Vietnamese rural life and folklore. Many of the programs, especially those involving the tales of day-to-day living, often have a humorous twist.

After the show, you will be driven to Saigon river to board a junk for a cruise. Take the time here to admire the lights of Saigon city from the river. Dinner will be served on the cruise, which you can enjoy while listening to our selection of relaxing music.

Water puppetry is a time-honored form of entertainment deeply embedded in Vietnamese heritage. This unique art form involves manipulating puppets over a water surface, with a live Vietnamese orchestra and vocalists providing a musical backdrop. The puppet show offers insights into the agrarian lifestyle and myths of Vietnam, often with a comedic element in stories depicting everyday life.

Following the performance, you’ll be transported to the Saigon River to embark on a junk boat cruise. As you sail, take in the illuminated skyline of Saigon. A delectable dinner awaits you on board, complemented by a soothing musical playlist.

Special and Memorable Evening - Our last night in Saigon was very memorable with a visit to the Water Puppet Show and dinner cruise on the Saigon River. Our guide for the night did a wonderful job making us feel like we were VIPs. He was very attentive and made our evening even more special and memorable. Would highly recommend this tour.

Puppet show is a must! Lic our guide was great! - The water puppet show is a must when in Saigon! So traditional and charming! Luc was an awesome tour guide who made us feel safe and was very knowledgeable and kind. The dinner cruise was nice...so much traditional food!

Amazing Ho Co Minh City experience! - The water puppet show was very skilful, but we truly loved the dinner cruise. Seeing Ho Chi Minh City from the boat was amazing, particularly the bright city lights.

Beautiful vietnamese story telling - This was a topical vietnamese storey telling puppet show, excellence in its performance to get the storey over even tho it was in their language you got the drift of what was happening. Room was intermittent with I say about 100-150 seats so everyone was able to see.

Amazing evening; two lots of entertainment wrapped into one night..must do! - Two fantastic adventures in one tour, with the most amazing tour guide ‘Luc’. A must do tour with Luc whilst in Ho Chi Minh City. He is the friendliest, happiest and most informative tour guide! The puppet show was very entertaining and the dinner cruise had a beautiful atmosphere cruising along the river, with a delicious array of food. Thank you to Luc and Star Vietnam Holidays Travel for a great night.

Fun Night! - My husband and I enjoyed the water puppet show a lot. Even though we didn’t understand the language the show was very interesting and entertaining. After the show our Tour Guide Luc took us for the dinner cruise. The dinner cruise was also a fun activity with a lot of delicious food and live entertainment by professional singers and dancers. Remember to bring cash to pay for your drinks. View of illuminated HCMC from the Cruise was spectacular. I would definitely recommend this tour, and our tour guide was very helpful throughout. He even informed us a day before about the exact pick up time. Thank you Mr. Luc from Vietnam Holiday Travel!

Perfect Cultural Night! - Awesome night we had! Me and my husband always love local culture, and this trip is perfect for those who like to explore the cultural event. The dinner also okay but i think because we come from one of asean countries too so we think the dinner can be more tasty next time :) but the cruise experience is beautiful, we love the live music they play old songs - and also the traditional dance is nice.
