Highlights
  • Didim - Didyma
In antiquity, Didyma was connected to Miletos by a sacred road. We visit the ruins of the Temple of Apollo, one of the largest temples from the Helenistic Period. Despite extensive construction, the temple was never fully completed.
  • Miletus - Miletos
These ancient ruins lie on a hill near the Aegean Sea. You can explore the ancient theater, built circa 4th century BC. The theater could accommodate over 15,000 spectators. Then, we visit the well-preserved Bath of Faustina, named after the wife of Marcus Aurelius, who ordered their construction.
  • Priene Antik Kenti
After breakfast, we reach to Priene. Priene, sets dramatically at the foot of a sheer mountain wall. Priene overlooks the aptly named Meander River. This 2500 years old Ionian city was among the first to be planned with a grid system of streets.

Additional Information

The excursion generally begins with a hotel pickup from Kusadasi or Selcuk, followed by a trip to the historical city of Priene, roughly an hour’s journey away. Priene was a significant Ionian League’s city during antiquity, equipped with a well-preserved theater, divine precincts, and a bouleterion (a public building).

The journey subsequently proceeds to the ancient city of Miletus, once one of the most populous cities in old Anatolia. Spectacular sights such as impressive theatre, the marketplace, the Nymphaeum, and the Bath-Gymnasium complex await exploration here. A trip to the Miletus Museum will also be made to appreciate the findings from the site excavations.

The tour culminates at Didyma, a historical sanctuary committed to Apollo, the god. The prime attraction of this location is Apollo’s Temple, renowned as one of the most substantial and stunning temples of ancient epoch.

Upon completion of the tour, a return trip will be provided to your hotel based in Kusadasi or Selcuk.

Very pleased with a unique tour near Ephesus - We had a great time with Jon as our guide. He was professional, well-prepared and good with all of the guests. These archaeological sights are incredible to visit and offer another close option to visiting Ephesus.

Excellent and Initimate - Excellent experience with the sites and the tour guide. She explained the history well, answered questions and gave us time at each site to wander and take pictures :) Since fewer tourists come to these sites, you'll have a more intimate experience and the pictures, in my opinion, are better because there are so few people in them if any!

Back to Greek) - Great tour of the most beautiful ruins of Turkey. I went for the third time, very pleased with the guide - a girl named Arzu. Professional guide with 12 years of experience, knows a lot about the country. The trip was very interesting, Arzu tells in a fascinating way, with a lot of details. Gave free time, but would like more. At my request, along the way we stopped at all the places where we wanted to take pictures.

Fantastic Tour! Hidden Gem!! - Fantastic experience! This tour is a hidden gem. Fewer tourists makes it feel like you rented the whole place. The guide was knowledgeable, prompt and personable. In particular, the Temple of Apollo was incredible. Some of the best photos we have are from there.
