Rural india uncovered - a remarkable experience - A perfect, calm, wonderful experience. Himat, our guide, showed us the once very important village of Delwara, let us taste some street food (very delicious), showed us a explained the village's history, and when knowing our interest in the built heritage, even showed us inside a couple of historic houses and havelis. We also visited some important Jain temples, and the Sadhna textile workplace where we bought some beautiful textile. A truly remarkable experience with a wonderful guide. Definitely one of the highlights of our visits in Rajasthan.

Great Cultural Experience - How often do you get to have a good time, learn something interesting and do good at the same time? This walk allows you to do just that, and more. Himmut was our engaging guide who showed us some Jain temples and different neighborhoods while explaining the work the NGO does to help the villagers. The tour ends at a women's handicraft store which has several nice items, though there is no pressure to buy. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Rajasthan.

Delwara Village Tour - The village tour was really interesting, especially for my kids, for whom this life is so far removed from their own. Admiring the different historical sites, colored doorways, paintings on the house walls, small functional shops on the way, as well as a visit to a “living” temple was a wonderful experience. And Himmat was a fantastic guide all along! Highly recommended.

Great experience - We went on this two hour walk and absolutely loved it. Udaipur is nice, but the temple in Delwara is absolutely stunning. One of the nicest you’ll see in India. Our guide was extremely friendly and gave us very personal insights into village life. Don’t expect a polished package tourist experience—but instead real people talking about their real life. It’s also a great way to support people in that village. Very friendly, safe, highly recommended!

Insight into the village - A really interesting look behind the scenes of this Indian village with a great insight to the work if the cooperative. We visited temples, a school, and homes within the village and our guide gave us lots of information about the history of the area. We finished off with a bit of a sewing lesson. Friendly and welcoming people in the village

Authentic and positive - It was a very nice experience and left me with a positive feeling about the progress of the village life in India. Our tour guy was very kind and humble. He definitely wants to show us Delwara in the most authentic manner, with both reality and hopes. I’m very glad I made this tour, for me it’s something more than traveling to a typical touristic place.
