You’ll be heading to the zenith of Qingcheng Shan Mountain, situated to the southwest of Dujiangyan City in Sichuan Province, standing impressively over 1,180 meters high. Its creation dates back to the Jin Dynasty, despite being later abandoned. It saw a revival in the Tang Dynasty under Emperor Xuanzong, was reconstructed before the Five Dynasties by Wang Yan, but unfortunately fell to fire during the late Ming Dynasty. The currently standing temple was erected between 1862 to 1874 (during the Qing Dynasty) and houses the Laojun Hall, Sanqing Hall, Moral Hall, Wenwu Hall, and the Jade Emperor Hall. The mountain gate’s B-side stone wall is adorned with the epithets ‘The Fifth Mountain in the World’ and ‘The First Peak of Qingcheng’. Inside the palace, you’ll find notable sites like Maguchi and Sakai, recognized as the Ma Gu bathing place.
