Great experience - This cooking class was a great way to end our trip to Taiwan! It was fun, very well organized and delicious. They even took photos and sent them to us, which is nice to have as a memory. This class is well worth the money, I definitely recommend doing it if you are in Taipei.

Laughs and XLB - We had such an amazing experience with Vivian and her team! Somehow, with lots assistance and laughs, delicious XLB dumplings magically folded within our hands. It really makes you appreciate the craft that is behind these treats. The thick pork soup tasted phenomenal (despite its pedestrian name) and boba tea made for a perfect ending to our meal. I can't wait to return to learn more about Taiwanese cooking.

Great!! - It was a wonderful experience! The amount of time was perfect and the staff is great. My husband has never made the little dumpling soups, and I he now knows the amount of effort that goes into them.

Highlight of our Taiwan trip and bonus win for picky eaters - This class has been the highlight of our trip to Taiwan! The instructors are the most caring people you will ever meet and they did everything they could to make sure we had an informative and fun experience. They even put up with my son trying to make dumplings, which was a hard task to teach him :). We loved everything we made, which was also a big deal for my son since he is such a picky eater normally. After this class, he was asking for second helpings! Thank you so much CookingFun.

Loved it! - Really enjoyed taking this class with my tween and mother who is in her 70s. This was a very family-friendly, hands-on class. Each person got to make their own xiao long baos and bobba tea, and each family made a pot of soup together. The food was delicious and plentiful. Instructors spoke fluent Chinese and English. They were really accommodating to my daughter's dietary restriction as well (be sure to let them know in advance), which was much appreciated. They took photos and videos during the class and air dropped them to us and provided printed recipes to take home. Highly recommend for a fun experience learning authentic Chinese cuisine.

Absolutely would... - Absolutely would recommend. It was one of our family’s favorite activities while in Taiwan. Experiencing and tasting authentic Taiwanese dishes which you participate in making. The bubble milk tea is delicious. The dumplings are very fun to make and the instructions were easy to follow and engaging. We enjoyed making and eating the thick pork soup too! The teachers are so patient and helpful. The studio space was clean, well organized and ingredients fresh. Highly recommend.

A great way to discover Taiwanese cuisine! - It was exactly as other reviews described it: a very lovely experience! They were extremely kind and thoughtful, everything is very well organized: they even take pictures while you cook! They cheer on you and want to watch you succeed in making these xiao long bao so they give you advice and support you during the whole process. Their recipes are really good, and the bubble tea was the best one I've tried! So far it has been one of my favorite experiences in Taipei. Thank you for you patience and for sharing your knowledge with us!

A lovely afternoon in an immaculately clean & brand new kitchen with excellent food and amazing instructors! - Cooking Fun is a family-run cooking school that has recently opened - and the venue is sparking clean and so very nice! Probably the nicest and cleanest cooking class I’ve ever participated in. You could tell the owner Vivian has put thought and detail into every single aspect of the experience (from individual bowls/tools and stickers to label your food so everyone eats only what they’ve touched, to a nice relaxing bathroom (again - SO CLEAN) with hand lotion). There are 8 individual stations with a demo station at the front, and a lovely dining area to sit afterwards and enjoy your creation. Today we were a class of English-speakers so Jenny was there to guide us and translate for master chef Vivian. It was nice having so much attention as our class was small. This is a hands-on class, not just watching the instructor - so be prepared to engage! When it came time to cooking, everything was thoughtfully portioned and timed. In this class we each made 7 soup dumplings, a local soup similar to hot and sour (which was enough for 2 bowls per person), and boba milk tea. We had some students with dietary restrictions so Vivian and Jenny were able to individually customize recipes to their requirements. The soup dumplings were quite challenging to make, but with the instructors’ expert advice, they all turned out great. They also took lots of photos so we didn’t have to handle our phones with dirty hands, and sent them to us via email. I cannot stress enough how kind and thoughtful they were. At the end we received an adorable certificate with the recipes inside. 10/10 would recommend for both beginners and experts!!!
