Marble Mountains - Discover the unique combination of nature and human involvement at Marble Mountain, acknowledged as an unrivalled attraction by both locals and tourists alike. Its exquisite appeal derives from the incredible blend of various marble and limestone caves.

HOI AN - Situated alongside the charming Thu Bon River, in the heart of Quang Nam province and 30 kilometers south of Da Nang, the ancient town of Hoi An is a mesmerizing sample of Eastern oriental allure. Its strategic location by the expansive river, coupled with a coastline (East), established it as one of the pivotal trading hubs in Southeast Asia during the 16th century, a time when early western traders dominated.

Relaxing Getaway - About Marble Mountain The good : The mountain is very nice especially in the sunset view (the time when I visited it). There are many historic caves in there with the statues of lady Budha. There is even one shrine where you can pray to get love. The Pagoda provides a serene ambience to calm you after the climb. You will get to choose between stairs and elevator (for extra cost). I, personally found stairs as a better option as you can explore the scenery little by little with every ascending step rather than getting completely awestruck at once. It is not a must visit but I wouldn't say it is not recommendable. CAUTION: IF YOU ARE TAKING STAIRS, PLEASE BEWARE THAT THE STEPS ARE VERY SHORT (since they are man- made and have been preserved original). You may feel very hot, so please take a hand fan or cold water alongside. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- About HOI AN The good : The ambience of the lantern lit river in night makes up a truly romantic atmosphere. Especially when I visited it had a red moon which made the scene very beautiful. There is also a complete market there for lot of goods (including GUCCI, LV, Chanelle, Prada countefiets). There were nice food stalls for both veg and non veg options. Just Ok: The boat ride is okayish and you can take up some good photos but may not find it very enjoyable if you have taken up other water rides. The Bad: Even after being a UNESCO recognised site I found that there was trash in water of Hoi An river which was a bit disappointing. The street vendors may be a bit more cheesy than what you see in rest of the vietnam but you see they are also trying to make a living, so I guess that's still understandable. 😉

One of the best tours you could go on - The trip is really well organised. The guide is very knowledgeable and genuine. Loved the trip. It had a really personal touch. The dinner was one of the best we have had in Vietnam and they make sure to prepare delicious food for people with special dietary requirements. The boat ride does cost extra- so keep that in mind. Lots of shopping to do.

Well, organized tour. Good communications. - The tour was great and covered all bases. It was very organized, and the tour guide was top-notch. Only slight drawback would be that they stopped at a statue and stone place on the way to the Hills and the merchants try to incessantly sell you stuff. That was a bit annoying.

Beautiful ride that partly requires some fitness and strength in the legs - A nice day, with a lot to see. First we visited a marble shop with very beautiful sculptures. Then we set off towards one of the marble mountains. Challenging climbing up and down ancient stairs, but so worth it! A beautiful Pagoda, a mysterious cave and a nice little path over the mountain to then take the stairs back down. But if you find stairs difficult, perhaps you should avoid this tour. It is possible to get up with a lift, but the descent had no lift. Then we headed to Hoi An and the night market, a small group of us rode the gondola and put wishing lanterns in the water. It was very cozy! Beautiful and cozy to just walk around. Great guide and driver! Impressive how she managed to keep us together so well!

Love the market - I loved Hoi An market and it is a must visit for me. The market is huge and the walks at night was really nice. It has lots of stalls to buy food and stuffs. You will need to bargain hard on the stuffs if you are looking to buy as they give a sky high price.

Marble Mountain - YES. Hoi An - NO - The Marble Mountains were exquisite. However Hoi A was a BIG disappointment. We had an excellent dinner, but after that the size of the crowds was crazy. Most time was spent looking after your belongings. Sure it was pretty but the huge number of people ruined the experience for me. Jostling and pushing everywhere to move is not my idea of fun
