Best Excursion! Wonderful Guide and Driver! - Honestly the best excursion/island tour I have ever gone on. Out tour guide, Sherwin, and driver Poff were amazing. We learned so much about the island, the people, the history and the culture. We booked a private tour and they helped us create the perfect day! We saw stunning beaches and ocean vistas, beautiful flamingos, snorkel with turtles and saw the Caves, and ended it at a great restaurant where we tried food from this amazing Island. As good as the sites and experiences were - the rich conversation with our wonderful guide and driver helped us get to know and fall in love with Curaçao. We can’t wait to come back and will definitely book again!!

Vacation Highlight! - Our tour with Sherwin was the highlight of our trip! Touring the island with him is like having your friend show you around his hometown. Best private Curacao tour! - We had a fantastic time on our tour of Curacao with Gone Caribe. Joseph and Jessica planned the perfect itinerary that met our needs and included what we most wanted to see. Sherwin and Puff were our outstanding and knowledgeable guides. While we enjoyed everything, the highlight was the crashing waves at Shete Boka National Park. If you only have one day in Curacao, we highly recommend spending it with Gone Caribe!

Excellent - Our guide was great! He showed us all the hot spots. So much fun!! Swimming with the turtles was amazing. The view points at the beaches was spectacular. Though I must say having a guide that has a reat personality is makes the experience so much better. Thanks again!!

Sherwin was amazing - As normal, we booked with Gone Caribe based on TripAdvisor reviews and were not disappointed. Sherwin picked us up at 9am from Sandals and the tour started straight away! On the drive North /West Sherwin gave us great information about Curacao’s history, culture, people and languages. First stop was to see the flamingos on the salt marsh. Sherwin was concerned that the rain might have driven the flamingos away, but actually there were more than normal. They were a really pink colour, based on their shrimp diet. We then visited a plantation house, which was also an art gallery. The art was of Nena Sanchez - a former Miss World contestant for Curacao, who in later life became an artist. The gallery is run by her sister and her niece was also visiting - it was great to hear the stories of Nena’s life from them both. We then made for the beach, but not before visiting a high vantage point to look over an inland lake / fishing hamlet. We then arrived at the Kleine Knip beach which was fabulous - whilst it was a bit cloudy, we got some great snorkelling in. Sherwin then took us to a local restaurant for lunch - at the Playa Forti restaurant. I have done a separate review on the restaurant, but in summary it has great views and we really enjoyed the local food recommended by Sherwin. After lunch, we had a scenic drive back down the island. Sherwin kept telling us more and more about the island, which was so interesting. It was also great to hear about Sherwin’s family - especially his Mum and Nan. All in all a great day, but really made by our fantastic host. Thanks Sherwin.

Flamboyant day out! - Had a fab day out with Sherwin, he is so charming, funny and patient. We saw the flamingoes at Williwood and actually saw one fly which was a first for me. Then on to see a traditional house “monument” housing paintings by Nena Sanchez. Her paintings are very vibrant. Onwards and a high point for a great pic! Then for a Snorkle at kleine knip, amazing spot. A chance for some traditional fair. I tried the goat stew- yum, hubby at beef and chicken stew wrapped in cheese. Amazing view from restaurant over Forti beach. Then a leisurely drive back through different districts pointing out items of interest. Over Julianna bridge over St Anna bay, one of the highest in the world! We had a fab time thank you. And Sherwin the pixies of Mexico that live in the little houses are the Aluxes, we we were laughing about all the mythical creatures.

Wonderful! - We did the private 6 hour tour of Curacao with the owner Joey! We had four adults and two little ones. It was such a fun day! Joey was wonderful and so knowledgeable. The van was nice and clean. Pick up was easy and on time. We were cruise passengers and got back in plenty of time. Highly recommend if you’re visiting! Thanks again for a wonderful day!

Customized to exactly what we wanted! - We were able to go where we wanted, avoid the crowds, get personalized attention, and do only the things we wanted to do! We skipped some time at the beach to add a cave tour, and added more snorkel time away from the crowds. Could not be happier with Joseph and his personalized services!

Great day in Curaçao - Had a wonderful day! Joey was a great tour guide! Very knowledgeable and interesting. He was a lot of fun and we had a very enjoyable day! The flamingos were fun, enjoyed the blow hole, great beaches, snorkeling and lunch! Would highly recommend!

Excellent tour! - Maybe slightly pricey, but an excellent tour and experience! We thought it was well worth it. It was very easy to arrange our tour with Gone Caribe via their website. They responded in less than 24 hours via email with a quote for a tour customized to our 'asks' along with their suggestions. We were provided a good description of the pickup location from the port including a map and photo of the Starbucks meeting point. It is a fairly short walk from the port. Due to regulations, for pickup they are not allowed to come closer, but were able to drop us off much closer to the ship after the tour. Jessica, our guide, was incredible, easy to understand (English), and provided detailed information about the sites we visited, the history and culture of Curacao. We saw the flamingos at the salt lakes, Sheta Boka National Park (do NOT miss the opportunity to see this park and the beautiful water and waves crashing against the shore), Playa Kenepa Grandi beach (another must see, just incredibly beautiful), Chobolobo distillery (including tasting of a variety of their liqueurs), and ending with a drive through the historical and colorful Willemstad downtown. We had a lunch snack while at the beach which was a tasty sandwich with a fried croquette (potato with a selection of protein, we had chicken) from a food truck on site, only $3! (USD accepted and they actually took credit cards as well). When Jessica learned that I love sweets, especially cookies, she sought out what else might be available from the vendors there. And found a man selling some very unusual and large "cookies". I purchased the coconut variety, sort of a mix between a cookie and fudge, but very tasty ($3). A very local experience for lunch and that is exactly what we asked and hoped for!
