Amazing tour done solo with a lovely intimate group and two fantastic tour guides! - I saw an ad for this tour on insta and I'm a big fan of glendalough but this seemed like a unique opportunity to see it in a different way. I booked to go alone and the tour group were lovely as were the guides. The opportunity to go and see Glendalough in daylight through to sunset, dusk and then darkness was amazing. You do need to be prepared for a hard slog....I've never hiked before so was able for this no problem but need to be prepared for uneven ground and concentration required esp towards the end as the ground becomes more uneven and the darkness has completely fallen. At one point towards the end I did wonder why I wanted to walk round in the dark when I couldn't see anything but when you get to the lakeshore and stop to take in the breathtaking view of the starry sky, its all worth it!! Absolutely cannot recommend this enough, would definitely do it again!

A hike well worth doing - The Wicklow night hike is an amazing experience. The scenery and atmosphere set an unique experience. The hike was a challenge but my group all felt amazing that we had completed it. Our guides were very knowledgeable about the area and made the information interesting and funny.

A night to remeber - Myself and my 16 year old son went on the night hike last night and have to say it was an amazing experience. The guide Reece is a fantastic guy and not only a skilled climber but also a brilliant history guide. He made it an amazing experience for us. Hike took approx 5 hours and the group was about 20. A diverse group of family, Couples and single individuals. Very safe at all times and there was no pressure with the priority being safety first. Will be doing another hike with these guys.

Great hike! - What an incredible hike. It was EXTREMELY difficult. I would consider it more than moderate level. BUT it was an awesome hike and I pushed my self harder than I ever have. Be sure to dress appropriately. I wore lined pants because I thought it would cool off after it rained and I was drenched in sweat. The guides were knowledge and very helpful. Great hike!!

Magical evening in Glendalough - Absolutely magical hike. It's a stunning location but having the opportunity to experience it well into the evening is absolutely unique and unforgettable. The animals become more active and relax as the evening sets and you really feel one with nature. Mark & Reece were brilliant with their commentary, support and encouragement throughout the hike. I went home with such a happy feeling, I would do this again in a heartbeat.

Need for more attention to safety in the mountains - The idea of the night hike and the route chosen was really good. The historical and environmental information given by one of the leaders was interesting. However, the information about the challenge of the walk was not sufficient. It was 14k and 400metre elevation and we were only told this when we arrived. One if our group did not have enough experience and especially at night to manage this and became unwell. As there was only two leaders for a large group, there was insufficient contingency. When our friend had to leave the walk ,one of the leaders would have allowed her to return alone. I went back with her and the rest of our group continued. In fairness they thoroughly enjoyed the walk. However if the leaders had good mountain leader training they would have done more to ensure that people coming on the walk had the capacity for the challenge and there would have been a better contingency plan. I would not recommend the company unless they put more emphasis is safety in the mountains.
