A stellar walking tour of Dublin - My wife and I took the two-hour tour provided by Historical Walking Tours of Dublin. Our guide, Grace, not only pointed out the sights of Dublin, she also provided the historical context for what we were seeing. She managed to make complicated situations very understandable - a great challenge when you're often standing, not sitting! We came away with a better understanding of what Ireland is today, and how it arrived at what it is today. I'd strongly recommend the tour to anybody - you'll have an enjoyable two hours and learn something to boot!

A terrific walking tour! - A wonderful tour, full of historical detail and vivid accounts of Irish and Dublin history. Darragh was a great tour guide, with a depth of knowledge and a sensitivity to the still controversial aspects of Ireland’s relations with the UK! Highly recommended!

Great orientation to Irish history - This was more of a history talk than a walking tour. Our guide was young, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and loud enough to be heard clearly over Dublin traffic. He gave long talks separated by walks to several key sites. I had anticipated more sightseeing, but was very happy with the tour. We came away with a great orientation to Irish history from the Stone Age to the Vikings to the long and troubled relationship with England.

City din overshadowed knowledgeable tour guide - I expected history. I didn't expect that the first 45 mins would be in the middle of the pedestrian triangle in front of Trinity and the bank. We changed locations three times but didnt move more than 30 meters. Walking was on the main thorough road with busses and trains. Next stop just over the river, again in the middle of the intersection. Not the best experience of the city. What I LOVED... our guide was very knowledgeable and vocally projected over the din. But he didn't walk and talk, had on a back shirt and black backpack. With 19 people in our group it was difficult to keep track of him. I have used Viator in cities around the world, this one was a disappointment.
