Great Safari in Sri Lanka. - The tour it wonderful but there is a long drive (4 hours) from Colombo to reach Wilpattu. The vehicles used for the safari fit 6 people and can become uncomfortable as the seat is high off the floor with little legroom in front. The driver will search for animals and stop the vehicle when they are seen. The drive through the animal park can be very bumpy. We saw leopards, elephants, deer, hogs, a crocodile, many birds and butterflies and buffalo over a period of about 3 hours. The tour does not stop for lunch or dinner (unless you ask) so bring snacks.
