It was amazing. The sound... - It was amazing. The sound of the jungle is so relaxing. Our guide Omar has a lot of knowledge and it was very interesting. The food was very good and the room was simply but so nice and comfortable. We saw a lot of animals and the neighbourhood. I would book here again.

Unforgettable excursion with knowledgable guide - This was an epic trip. I felt fully immersed in the Amazon and saw so many different animals and insects on our walks throughout the journey. Our guide Omar was extremely in tune with the jungle and was able to point out all kinds of things I would have missed. The variety of excursions kept it interesting, don't want to spoil all of the activities but just know you will do and see a lot. I would highly recommend this tour, ideally when it isn't raining too hard.

Great experience!! - Our experience with Amazon Wildlife Tours was amazing from the start. Robert always answered our questions by email, clarifying us. He came to meet us in Coca, before our departure to the Amazon jungle. Then, we continued on our way, in a public boat along the Napo River, together with our guide Eduardo, who accompanied us during the three days we stayed in the Amazon. We loved the experience, it was without a doubt a great adventure that we will keep dearly in our hearts. We didn't see as many animals as we would have liked, but that has its charm too, we are in the Amazon, not in a Zoo. But if we are attentive, it is possible to observe many species of birds, small monkeys (monos), insects, the very flora of the jungle and we even saw a Cayman in its beautiful life in the Limoncocha lagoon. The river boat trips are incredibly beautiful, with all that greenery around. Being in the Kichwa community of Pilche was unique. Everyone is so friendly, welcoming, always smiling and the food is fantastic! Thank you for that! We especially want to thank our guide Eduardo who accompanied us, for all his availability and knowledge. We learned a lot, walked a lot and felt fulfilled enough! In the end, they escorted us to our hotel in Coca, which made us feel safe. For all these reasons, we advise you to choose Amazon Wildlife Tours for your jungle adventure! Obrigado! Mário and Cátia

Unforgettable experience - Totally recommend this tour for people who want to discover wildlife without expecting nothing, you will be surprised by how many other species live in the jungle besides the ones you really want to see. Our guides Otorino and Mauro were super nice and careful when walking in the Amazon forest, very knowledgeable of the animals, the Kichwa culture, medical plants as well which is an amazing world. The traditional food that we have eaten was diverse and delicious and the lodge was great. The Equatorian people are the most kind people I have ever met.

Impressive experience no matter which weather you have - It was our first visit in a rainforest and it was super interesting to experience the different flora and fauna. Even though we had two days of rain we could see some monkeys, insects and birds. The guide tried to change the plans according to the weather conditions. The Lodge is situated very nice and you could listen to the rain and the animals while you stayed in your bed. Additionally most of the time we where the only guests there. (The first night we stood there with another small group.) But in general you should know that the group often consists of just your party size. That is what we did not know before - so if you’re considering meeting new people at this tour you cannot be sure when booking. But be sure for seeing animals it might be better! Also the meals where super delicious and there was always juice at the table. The guide was friendly and when we asked him, he told us a lot about the jungle and the animals. You should know that there might be some extra costs you have to pay. The guide always asked us if we want to do this activity and how much we would have to pay additionally (the tower, the bus ticket, history tour at a community). And you have to pay everything in cash - therefore take enough money with you. All in all enjoy the time and get away of your daily business for a few days! 🙃

4-days / 3 nights Yasuní National Park Tour - We booked our 4 days / three nights Amazonas Tour in Yasuní National Park with “Amazon Wildlife Tours”. All in all, we enjoyed the tour, even though it was raining quite a lot during the first two days. However, we didn’t like a couple of things (therefore only 3 stars): First, 3 different activities had to be cancelled (one because of rain which is completely understandable, one because of lack of communication among the organizers and local people to pick us up and one because no one was there when we arrived) and NO other alternative activities were offered. This was pretty bad for us, especially considering the fact that the tour was much more costly in comparison to tours in Cuyabeno National Park and for that reason we wanted to make the best out of the activities. Second thing were the activities at additional cost (10$ for the Kichwa culture and 20$ for the parrot clay licks). We spent only 10 minutes at the Kichwa community and only exchanged a couple of words with a local teacher at the school. In the parrot clay there were no birds and the local site supervisor told us that in this season birds are rarely coming there. I think that the guide should have such an information and “warn” us about it, so we can decide whether or not to go there and pay for it. It would be fine for us to do another activity that is aligned with the season instead if we had the choice. Third, during the Pilche community visit (which was included in the price) we had almost no interaction with the people from the community itself, we were just served the “maito” fish as in a regular restaurant. Then we were accompanied by our guide through their medicinal garden. When we addressed it later that day, our guide offered us to make a basket and crowns out of palm trees at our lodge. This was a fun activity and at least we had a bit of a cultural demonstration. The positive aspects: all the staff was very nice, and the guide was very knowledgeable and fun to talk to. Food was very good, and they considered my vegetarian preferences. The Cabaña we slept in was basic but comfortable. The walks through the jungle, especially the night walk, piranha fishing and bird and monkey watching on the sunny days were fun. They also organized us bus tickets and taxi to the bus station from our hotel in Quito.
