Sightseeing through Mayan history and swimming in cenotes! - We had the most amazing tour - Gabby set us up for an adventure to see the ruins in Coba and Tulum and then for a swim at a cenote. Juan was our guide and he was so amazing!! His knowledge of the Mayan history was incredible and has made even the rest of our stay in Tulum richer as we can see the Mayan culture around us everywhere we go. There was something for everyone in our group! He was patient and let us linger and answered all of our questions!! We couldn’t have asked for a better day and already miss our guide Juan! Gabby and her team knocked it out of the park!

Our tour with Jony was better than swimming with dolphins. - Taking a tour with Jony was the highlight of our trip. He wasn’t just a tour guide- he’s an excellent leader, photographer, and now friend. He was patient, especially with my boys, and knew exactly where to take us, at what time, and for how long. My son and I are hard of hearing, he made sure that we could hear him without it feeling like we were causing him grief and the knowledge base this man holds is extensive and deep. We not only felt safe, we learned and had fun. We got to experience Tulum without the suffocating group of people hindering views and the time of day gave us the most beautiful light. Our cave and cenote snorkeling trip wasn’t just about the experience but also a continuation of our lesson in Mayan culture. Our 9yo twin boys felt that our snorkeling time with him was their favorite part of our trip, even better than swimming with the dolphins. I feel so lucky to have had the pleasure of being a part of his tour. Do yourself a favor and ask for him. You will not regret it.

Amazing day visiting the ruins - We had the best day with Isaac that exceeded my expectations. We did a tour that included Tulum, Coba and then a cave cenote. From the moment I started communication with the company, everything was very clear and easy. We initially had booked a different tour and decided to change and there was no issue at all. I did the tour with my 11 year old daughter and my 75 year old mom. Isaac was so great and patient with our slow pace and assisted my mom up and down some of the stairs in Tulum. He was extremely knowledgeable about all of the sites we visited and answered all of our questions. The cave we visited way beyond beautiful and we were able to snorkel with flashlights which made it easy to explore. I cannot comment enough about how great it was to be on a private tour. We were able to move at our own pace, and stop when we wanted for coffee, a break etc. It was so nice to move at your own pace. In Coba we required the tricycles to get around and it was a huge benefit. I would not recommend trying to walk there. Again the rental of them was all coordinated by Isaac so there was no work required from us. I would highly recommend this tour and company to anyone visiting the area and would use them again.

An Unforgettable Trip! **IN DEPTH REVIEW** - Having done some research into the idea of touring Tulum and Coba we reached out to My Quest Concierge as we could see they were advertising a private tour experience for only a little more in cost than that of some of the larger international operators were for a tour with 15-40+ other people. Within a short amount of time I received a swift response from Gabby who was incredibly attentive and efficient in helping me sort out a plan and an experience that would include what we wanted in the best possible ways, making recommendations as well as we went along. The fact that there was a 5hr time difference didn't even occur to me until a couple of days later! Before long, we booked the tour feeling confident that we were going to have the experience of a lifetime. A week before the tour we received an email from the team, advising we would be instructed further a couple of days before and asking for the preferred method of communication. As we were purchasing an E-Sim to use our mobiles out in Mexico I opted for WhatsApp as this is usually the most efficient. Sure enough, as we'd booked our Tulum and Coba tour for 2 days after we arrived, on landing and switching my E-Sim on a message from Gabby came through to share their local number, remind us the personal items they'd recommend taking and that we would get the details of our driver the day before - proactive and efficient as ever. The text as suggested came through indicating that our driver would be José Manuel and he would be onsite to pick us up at 7am and would come and find us in the lobby along with his WhatsApp number in case we needed it. Sure enough, just before 7am the next morning a grey Acadia pulled up, José walked in and immediately introduced himself and guided us to the vehicle for the day, a luxurious and comfortable leather seated GMC Acadia. As soon as we were in the vehicle he offered us water and the opportunity to grab some snacks along the way should we need to. Ready to take on the day, we hit the road and shared many a conversation about the local life, our background and the history of the area sharing plenty of laughs along the way. So much so, the hour long drive to Tulum seemed to just disappear and before we knew it we'd pulled up in the car park ready to explore. One of the main reasons the pickup was so early was so that we got to Tulum practically as it opened, on entry it felt like we had the place to ourselves, it was quiet, sunny and peaceful. One of the best reasons to book with My Quest Concierge is whilst you have a private experience, your driver / guide is also a certified archaeological guide meaning the conversations and knowledge they have to share is almost endless. We would be walking along when José would notice something, for example a tree that had been used by the ancient maya to decorate buildings and proceeded to demonstrate how the colour was extracted right before our eyes. These are the sort of little details that you learn that you would simply overlook if part of a large group or visiting on your own. José's knowledge was incredible and he was also a cracking photographer! Knowing the best spots to get those holiday shots as well as being willing to take the photos of you on your phone so not every holiday snap is a selfie. We had what felt like the perfect conditions for Tulum, it was sunny and warm and the sea was calm - showcasing the beautiful colours of the Caribbean coastline. Once we had finished exploring the ruins and learning the incredible history from José we headed out through the last gate and back towards the car. On our way out the hoards of large group tours were arriving, incredibly long queues of people all following guides with umbrellas. On attempting to use the facilities before leaving there appeared to be a 20 person long queue and José said, don't worry jump in the car. We pulled out of the carpark and within 2 minutes into our journey he stopped at a Starbucks so we could use the toilets and grab a drink - you would not get this on a large group tour! Once refreshed, we embarked on the next 40min journey to Coba and it was incredible how the scenery changed, driving inland through smaller communities towards the jungle learning more as we drove on. Once we arrived at Coba, José advised we had the option to either cycle ourselves on a pushbike or use a "Mayan Taxi" which was a 2 person bicycle rickshaw pedalled by a local. Being the adventurous style, we opted to cycle ourselves and follow José's lead into the jungle stopping at different sites along the way. Coba was a completely different experience to Tulum, riding through the jungle, exploring part excavated sites with real Indiana Jones vibes! An amazing experience but definitely a warm one! What was thought to be our final stop was at Taak Bi Ha cenote along the way back to Playa Del Carmen. An incredible underground closed cenote delving to a deep 70 metres full of crystal clear glistening water. One of our concerns with visiting a cenote was that when you see other peoples videos they are usually full of tourists swimming in the water resembling tourist soup - this couldn't have been further from the truth here. MQC choose the cenotes they know will have the experience and the impact you want without the hordes of tourists in large groups making for a much more personal and memorable feel. José had cleansed snorkelling equipment along with flashlights for us to use in the water to fully explore and was on hand to take photos and did so whilst we swam around for us as well! José recognised my partner was a little uncomfortable within the water and was quick to offer advise and help to assist her in relaxing and getting the most out of it using his experience as a freediver of which was greatly appreciated. On leaving the cenote José recalled an earlier conversation in the day wherein I asked for a recommendation to get the best tacos in Playa Del Carmen. He asked "do you want me to take you to the hotel or to go get some authentic tacos?" - even once all the "official" stops had been visited José was adamant to make the day as personal as he could for us and so we opted to go a late lunch with him and enjoy a little bit of down time chatting. He gave us recommendations, as well as ordering for us as our espanol was a tad rusty (Thanks again José!!!). Sitting outside in the sunshine, chatting eating authentic local tacos after the action packed day was the perfect way to finish it and we were more than happy to cover the cost of the additional stop. Once finished José dropped us back off at the hotel at around 16:30 after an action packed day. Most other tours we looked at were quoting 10-12 hour days which are incredibly long, usually to allow for all the other people not abiding to timings and taking ages plus a strict schedule! We walked, talked, stopped and stared, laughed, took photographs all until we were content, all at our pace with no rush or pressure applied by José whatsoever. This is not the experience we've had booking with large group tours before, it was more like having a day out with a friend who happened to have all the knowledge and experience we would need. Thank you so much to the team at My Quest Concierge! Gabby, Maria and José were all fantastic and made the trip incredible!

Great day! - The day couldn't have been any better. It's an expensive daytrip but was totally worth it for us. Our guide Mario did everything needed to make the day super easy for us. No waiting in lines anywhere. He was always one step ahead of us. Our teenagers loved it too as we combined visiting the ruins with snorkling through an underground cenote. Would recommend for sure!
