- Taylors Mistake - Awaroa / Godley Head Walk - Your guide will pick you up from your hotel and transport you to Taylors Mistake Beach, a beautiful black sand surf beach, with quaint little baches. There will be an opportunity to pick up hot drinks-to-go on the way. The drive is approximately 30 minutes. On arrival your guide will hand out backpacks, walking poles, water bottles, snacks, and prepare you for the walk.
- Godley Head - The next 2.5 hours will be spent walking around Godley Head Loop Track, undoubtedly one of Christchurch’s most beautiful hikes. The track is undulating and well-maintained. Sights include Scott’s Hutt (an Antarctic Cabin), WW2 Gun emplacements, a penguin colony, and coastal views in all directions. You will return to Taylors Mistake with wonderful photos and memories of a great walk.

Godley Head is a beautiful coastal track with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and also Lyttelton Harbour. It includes historic landmarks from WW2, an Antarctic cabin, and quaint little beaches to boot. The loop track is 8km / 5 miles and takes around 2.5 hours to walk, including a rest stop.
If you are short on time, this half-day guided walk is a great option. Both morning and afternoon walks are available, see the highlights and be back in Christchurch in time for lunch or dinner.

Loved it and would do again! - Nicole was a fantastic guide and all 3 of us had a wonderful time. Our 4th person had to cancel because of an injury, and we had no trouble at all with the cancellation. Nicole was very accommodating when we were running earlier, and very knowledgable during the hike. Would do again and strongly recommend!

Wonderful! - I just completed this walk with my friends. Nicole was very communicative and have us details about the history of this beautiful walk. She supplied us with walking sticks, water, and snacks. There were lots of opportunities for bathroom breaks, water, snacks and photos. The views are breathtaking. I highly recommend this outing! Must See These Beautiful & Magical Views! It’s the only way! Crater Rim Walks! BOOK NOW and you won’t regret! - Wanted to venture into some nature and needed some exercise after eating our way through NZ, Nicole made this adventure so magical and relaxing. So knowledgeable about the history and culture of Christchurch & NZ. Highly recommended- one of our highlights of our entire trip. The views and fresh-air are top rate! Must See adventure! Wow! Just Wow! Thank you Nicole, we will never forget this experience!

Awesome hike around Crater Rim with spectacular views - The walk was amazing through gorgeous mountain top area with spectacular views of the Pacific coastline. nicole was awesome providing lots of local history as well as walking sticks, bottles of water and snacks. Highly recommended if you are in the Christchurch area and want to explore the surrounding landscape, get some exercise and fresh air!!

Best hike in New Zealand! - It was our last day in New Zealand, and it was the most wonderful way to spend it! We got some exercise, had incredible views, and saw another side of Christ Church. Our guide Dee was fantastic, super nice, thoughtful, knowledgeable and very accommodating. We went on quite of a few hikes and walks while we were in New Zealand, and this one was the best by far!
