Embark on an exploration journey through the majestic natural landscapes that once left Charles Darwin awestruck, around the Huillinco and Curao Lakes and the expansive Pacific Ocean. The trip begins with a tour of Chonchi, the sloping city also known as the Ciudad de los Tres Pisos (Three-story city). It boasts attractions such as the UNESCO World Heritage Site Church, the Museum of Traditions, a picturesque waterfront, and a vibrant crafts market. The route then proceeds to the lakeside village of Huillinco, famous for its unique, house-style cemetery, a common sight in Chiloe. Next, the trip heads to the Chiloe National Park. Here, guests can access the park’s interpretation center and stroll the enchanting “Sendero el Tepual” pathway that meanders through Chiloe’s dense, humid forests (good walking shoes and sunscreen are advised).
