Tokyo sites and experiences with a wheelchair - Our guide was very knowledgeable friendly and polite including our driver. Our daughter was in a wheelchair so our itinerary was tailored to ensure we could access all of the experiences. Sights of old and new were included to give an excellent one day overview of the history and culture of Japan and Tokyo. A highlight was the local sushi meal in an authentic local restaurant. Food not necessarily for everyone’s taste but an important once of experience.

Amazing Tokyo Private Tour with Hiro Chikata - We had booked a cruise in Japan that started and ended in Tokyo. We needed to be off the ship by 9am and our return flight wasn’t until 9pm, so we decided to book a tour in Tokyo to make the most of our day. I usually try to find local tour companies. I decided to use the Japan Guide Agency - who matched me with Hiro-San. I reached out to him very early - once we had confirmed our flights. Hiro-San asked me to share our itinerary for the cruise - just to make sure that he didn’t include items in his tour that we may have seen already. He also asked a lot of questions regarding what we might like to see, do, what we enjoy eating - in order to craft the perfect day for us. He was very gracious in going back and forth with thoughts and questions about our itinerary. Hiro and our driver picked us up at the cruise ship right on time - and at the end of the day brought us right to the airport. We had settled on seeing Odaiba and the Statue of Liberty and the Rainbow bridge after leaving the cruise terminal. We visited the Hama Rikyu Garden which was beautiful and peaceful - we also stopped to enjoy a very matcha tea at a very traditional location. The cherry blossoms were in season - so this even added to the visit. We also visited the Nezu Shrine which is a traditional temple, and we able to see tons of Azalea blooming. Hiro-San also suggested that we visit the Cherry Blossom art Exhibit at the Tokyo National Museum which was really amazing. We always love to enjoy local, authenicic cuisine when we travel - and Hiro suggested we try a very small, ~8 seat sushi restaurant that specializes in Edo style sushi. It was an incredible meal. And the final amazing gesture is that after finding out our son who was unable to travel with us was a huge Pokémon fan - Hiro-San offered to pick up a new variety of the cards that was only available in Japan. My son couldn’t have been happier. After we were done for the day - Hiro even walked us into the airport, over to the check in counter and made sure we were all set to board our flight before saying goodbye to us. Hiro-San was an amazing guide - but more than that, he really took the time to get to know us, and to provide us with a day we won’t forget. It was also a pleasure getting to know him better - he’s a fascinating person. When we’re back in Tokyo, I will definitely contact Hiro-San and book another day or two with him.

Our amazing guide to Japan, Hiro Chikata - Our tour guide was Hiro Chikata, a retired journalist and professor. His knowledge of the culture and city was excellent. He was also very thoughtful and nice. An impressive touch was when we had lunch and he reserved a table at a restaurant for tempura, something that my girlfriend had been craving. And we didn't have to wait! He also had very good suggestions about the rest of our time in Tokyo, some were significant. A fish market we were planning to go to was closed so he saved us a lot of time by helping us pivot. He suggested a cheaper 24-hour value pass for the subway, which came in handy and saved us 50% (versus the IC card). He also took us to the lotus flower garden, which was not on the itinerary but a pleasant surprise! Hiro-san made our first day in Tokyo unforgettable and amazing and it was exactly the thing we needed to start our adventure in Japan! Hiro Chikata is the perfect guide!

Amazing Tokyo Highlights in Six Hours - Our tour guide, Sam, was amazing., as was our driver, Hayama. We only had a very short time in Tokyo before leaving on a cruise of Japan. Sam made sure my daughter and I got to see everything we wanted to see in our six hours….. Shibuya Crossing, Senso-Ji Temple and the historical Asakusa, Imperial Palace East Gardens, and Matsuya department store in Ginza. Sam even stopped at a 7-11 because my daughter wanted to see one and he had the driver drive us through the anime section of Tokyo for my daughter to see. Sam gave us lots of historical information, which made each visit especially interesting. Sam even pointed out additional places of interest as we passed by them. My daughter and I will have lots of great memories from our wonderful private tour.

6 hr Tokyo walking Day Tour w/ Koba - This was our first time in Japan, so a guided tour made sense for us to start off. Once we selected the tour, Koba our guide reached out and introduced himself to us. He was able to accommodate our list of stops. He met us at our hotel. Koba was prompt, arriving a few minutes early. As a walking tour, Koba helped us navigate the metro. It felt a bit overwhelming at first, but by the end of the day, we felt confident to use it on our own. We packed a lot of walking to many great places. We specifically went to: Senso-hi Temple, Edo Castle, Meniji Jingu shrine, Tsukiji Fish Market, and we saw the Tokyo Tower. We were very happy with everything, especially Koba. By the time we met in person, I already felt like we knew each other. Koba is extremely knowledgeable. It is easy to see how smart, kind, and thoughtful Koba was as a guide and person. I would highly recommend this tour.

Best tour of Tokyo - Honestly we couldn’t have asked for a better tour! Our guide Koba was such a lovely guy and made our first day in Tokyo a very welcoming and memorable one. He was accommodating to our requests, taking us to see Tsukiji fish market, Imperial palace, Asakusa and much more. Koba was both very knowledgeable about the places we visited and flexible with the itinerary. We had originally planned to go to shinjuku east gardens to see the cherry blossom but as they hadn’t quite come out yet, Koba suggested making a slight change to our tour so we could make the most out of our time which we hugely appreciated. Although there were one or two places we knew we wanted to see we weren’t sure about the rest and Koba’s suggestions did not disappoint. His communication was excellent before, during and after our tour. We knew exactly where and when to meet him and he was very punctual. Even though the tour ran over time he didn’t charge us extra which was very kind. This was partly because he offered to help us collect our Shinkansen tickets that we needed later in the week, which was over and above what we expected (we were very glad of his help as I don’t think we would’ve had a clue what to do on our own!). He also recommended some places to visit later in the week including recommending a guitar shop where my parter ended up buying a guitar! Overall, I would highly recommend this tour, and Koba, to anyone visiting Tokyo. We stayed in Japan for 2 weeks and this was by far one of the best highlights of our trip.
