Highlights
  • Sican Museum - Our most informative museum has rooms with very good information on the history, archaeology, geography and nature of the region. Here are two royal tombs with amazing treasures, one of them has more than 1’200 Kg of extraordinary jewels and the other is the largest tomb found in this part of the world. The museum has very accurate and photographable dioramas and a gold room dedicated to objects found in the tombs.
  • Tucume Pyramids - It is the largest archaeological site with pyramids in our region, there are 26 structures and only one is open to the public, it is called Huaca Balsas, which has very well preserved mural art with figures that represent the marine activity of the Peruvian ancestors from about a thousand years ago. and our program includes a visit inside. To get to this pyramid you walk through a small dry forest and there is a chance to see wildlife from the equatorial dry forest.
Our visit also includes a viewpoint near the site museum, but not the visit to the interior of the museum, but this is optional and can be coordinated with the tour guide.
  • Lambayeque - Our visit ends in the historic center of Lambayeque, which has classic architecture from several centuries of the colonial and republican era of our region, its buildings and churches are the most beautiful and also the most preserved, one of them is a mansion that now functions as restaurant with very good food.
We are the only agency that offers this type of experience in the region, having lunch in a house of about 300 years of extraordinary and well-kept architectural beauty. The walk through the historic center and its monuments and squares is done after lunch.

Sican and Tucume Pyramids are a must do. - This is a great tour. The guide is extremely knowledgeable and very personable. There aren’t many English tours and this is one you should take. The Sican Museum and Tucume Pyramids are amazing. There is also a little nature walk to look for animals. The tour ends with him sharing the history and a few sights in Lambayeque.

This is one of the best English tours in Peru! - This tour is one of the best in Peru! The guide, Julio, is knowledgeable, friendly, flexible and speaks excellent English. I learned a lot through this tour. It's hard to find the English tour with this price in northern Peru that is not popular for international travellers like southern peru. I high recommend to visit Chiclayo and join the tour!

All in one a great day with Julio - Yesterday we had an amazing and very informative day with our Guide Julio. Julio was an excellent and very knowledgeable guide. We learned a lot about the Sican Culture. I especially liked the museum, the walk to the pyramids and bird watching. Their agency even organized our next trip to Trujillo and a tour to Chan Chan. I absolutely recommend Julio. Thanks for the wonderful day

North Perú tour - Our tailor made trip in North Perú came to an end: an extremely interesting area with vibrant cities and amazing archeological sites/museums. Julio, our guide in the sites/museums, couldn’t be better. He was a well educated, very interesting and funny guy, answering to all of our questions. He was always carrying his camera with him in order to capture bird and wildlife closeups, which he shared with us. We saw even the oldest paintings of Perú in the pyramid of Ventarrón! Thank you! We will come back for new adventures!

Knowledgeable guide, highly recommended - We went with guide Johan on Tucume, Sican museum, lord of Sipan tomb tour. Runa Turismo owneris very professional and quick in response. We were searching for tours to Tucume pyramids and Lord of Sipan tomb on the same day, no other tour operator was willing to suit our needs or willing confirm the tour until about the day of the tour. Only Runa was able to confirm right away and be flexible to our interested sites. Guide Johan is extremely knowledgeable, he was able to tell us stories and explain every single item inside the museums, and connect the items and stories to the archeology sites to give us the whole picture of ancient peru history. He only only knows the trivias but understand deep down the material used and chemicals in the pigments of the objects, then give us his own interpretation and thesis on each objects in the museum. We were definately wowed by his presentaion and booked another day with him. Second day he showed us Ventarron which is a site from 4000 years ago. It's definately a hidden gem and not many tour operators even know the place. We went on visiting Sipan site and then Bruning museum. We very much enjoyed the tour. Highly recommended to go visit archeology sites and museums with Johan if you would like go a deep dive into the ancient peru history.

A very hot day full of history and interesting facts - It was good, except that there is a lot of sun, there is not much information and more than anything it is something for people who like to walk a lot. I do not recommend going at midday, and if you go take a lot of water and protection from the sun, it is preferable to go in March and April that told me that there is more pleasant weather
