A must for coffee and nature lovers - I actually rarely write reviews. But we liked the tour with Jack so much that we definitely want to recommend it. We were picked up directly from our hotel and greeted very warmly by Jack and his wife. On the drive to the Hill Tribe, which took about 1.5 hours, Jack explained to us what we were going to do. It became clear that Jack is a real coffee lover and not only likes to share his knowledge, but also knows a lot about the history, cultivation, roasting and preparation. It was a real pleasure to listen to him and learn. Our highlights were the short hike through the jungle at the Hill Tribe. On the way to the coffee farm, one of the residents also explained to us which herbs they use, for example, to heal wounds. We were even allowed to plant our own coffee trees and then roast and taste coffee beans together. The coffee is grown organically, i.e. no chemical fertilizers or pesticides are used. The residents of the Hill Tribe look after the coffee plants every day. In addition, part of the proceeds goes to the residents, so that they can also live off Jack's tour. This tour is perfect for anyone who loves coffee and wants to learn something about coffee cultivation in Thailand or who loves nature. The atmosphere was very friendly, as if we had known each other for a long time. Thank you very much to you Jack, your wife and your friends from the Hill Tribe for the great experience.

A tranquil excursion, our highlight of Chiang Mai - The tour was just what we were after. Born out of true passion, you’re led by Jack and partners into a farm and serene home that you could only dream of. We highly encourage you to visit them to experience a well organised + succinct tour with ‘just the right’ dose of knowledge and adventure. We were more than comfortable the throughout the entire journey—transportation, site, walk + lunch. This tour was the highlight of our Chiang Mai trip.

A must do absolutely!! - Unique and very enriching experience! If you want to discover the Thai forest, a real authentic village, life among coffee and soy crops, cows, chickens and above all learn a lot more about the preparation of coffee and its aromas, this excursion is for you . To begin, take a 4x4 ride towards the forest to walk through the moonshine fields and discover its stories. You even have the right to plant a coffee tree there and put your name on it! Then return to the village to eat an excellent friendly meal. The afternoon is dedicated to learning about coffee, Jack is very fun and professional. Everything is super well explained and above all we can practice it ourselves! We leave with our roasted coffees and above all full of memories! Thanks again, totally worth the price. Do not hesitate to contact him on his WhattsApp via his PTTTOUR website to book, there are more availability!

Epic small scale organic coffee farm adventure - Jack’s hill tribe coffee tour in the Chiang Mai mountains are a great day out for coffee lovers or people that just want to be in nature and experience and lean more about small scale organic farming. Suitable for couples, small groups or even solo travelers as myself. I leaned a lot about coffee, from picking coffee cherries from the tree, to roasting and how to make the perfect poor over. Really recommend this authentic tour. As someone who likes to avoid over crowded tourist attractions, this is the perfect experience. Jack is funny and very knowledgeable.

Amazing day! A must do! - A must do if you are in Chiang Mai. You will learn more about coffee but not only that. Jack and Mr Moonshine accompanies us (always in a small group) into the sacred forest for a walk of around 1 hour, planting a coffee tree in his name, harvesting etc. While telling anecdotes about the life of the tribe. We feel privileged!

Fun and informative! - This tour was unique, fun, and super informative. I learned so much about the coffee-making process from start to finish. It was super fun to take home beans we roasted, and learn how to do a professional pour-over. Beyond that, of the 2 weeks I was visiting Thailand this was by far the most culturally authentic experience I had. If you are wanting an opportunity to get a feel for what life is like for the Karen villagers who live in the mountains of Chiang Mai, this is it. We had an opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal prepared from food grown on the property, as well as tasting home-made whiskey. Everyone was great. Jack is super knowledgeable about coffee, and Sarah captures some great photos. Moonshine was wonderful to spend time with too. I left my sunglasses at the mountain, and he went out of his way to meet us and return them. This was an amazing, memorable day that I would recommend to anyone looking for a less touristy experience. A few things to be mindful of: this tour requires a lot of walking in the forest. It is a good idea to wear suitable shoes, have sunscreen, and bug spray. I did get a few bug bites but nothing too extreme.
