We leave from Catania in the direction of our base camp at 1850 meters, from here begins our trek off the tourist trails, we will cross lava beaches, recent lava flows and volcanic steppes, arriving at the bove valley, an ancient caldera, we stop for a break lunch (we can buy excellent sandwiches before the ascent), we could admire the active craters of Etna and a beautiful view of the Ionian coast, return to base camp.
