SHOULD HAVE DONE SOONER - Wish we done this one sooner. We felt like we got a personal tour of the island from someone who knows every inch. All were great spots. We are leaving tomorrow but now we feel like we know the island much better and can explore more next time. Hector is passionate and very knowledgable. He was there to make sure everyone had a good time and took his job seriously. Fantastic memories. Thank you!!! We'll be back!

Unfortunately experience - This was the best excursion we have ever taken and we have been on various excursions on various Islands. I can’t say enough regarding how amazing Hector is. He went above and beyond to make everything spectacular. He was very informative, brought us to 3 local spots for lunch, coffee and snacks and he even paid for lunch. He also brought water and snacks after cave sightseeing and he didn’t let us walk back to the car like other excursions we seen instead he brought car to us. Honestly words simply can’t describe how Hector is amazing every step of the way. Me and my husband will always remember this trip because of Hector. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and making this trip unforgettable.

We greatly enjoyed this tour, but beware of risks - We appreciated our tour guide's enthusiasm and friendly conversation. Hector works hard to ensure a good experience for his clients. We enjoyed touring the interior mountain region of Ciales, and climbing into Cueva del Indio was a challenging and exhilarating cave experience. HOWEVER, a member of our group of 8 got seriously injured. Ironically, my sister-in-law was just waiting up top while the rest of us explored the cave, but she took a wrong step and broke and dislocated her ankle. An ambulance had to be called because a stretcher was needed. She is heavy and could not hop with help over the jagged terrain with dropoffs to either side, and it was dangerous for everyone trying to help her get down from the cliff. The rest of us continued the tour with Hector after my SIL and brother were taken away, thinking at the time her ankle was likely just badly sprained. We got to further explore the jagged coastline with its many arches and a deserted beach with crashing surf, and then take a quick look at Mar Chiquita Beach just after sunset (we'd started our tour at noon and had a long delay because of the accident). Shame on us, but we did enjoy ourselves. Hector then delivered us back to Old San Juan. Meanwhile... my SIL and bro, having of course been taken to the nearest hospital, experienced an overnight hospital stay in Arecibo because a doctor was not around until the next day to review x-rays and confirm the ankle was broken, in 3 places. The hospital was freezing cold and there was nothing to eat, so my brother went walking in search of a blanket and snack food. (The locals, able to plan ahead for their stay, had brought their own blankets.) Staff and other patients at the hospital were very kind, but a hospital stay in unfamiliar territory with unfamiliar procedures is not what anyone wants. The next afternoon SIL and bro had to take a taxi ride to San Juan in the dirtiest taxi they'd ever encountered, because no Uber driver would accept the 45 min trip. Everything can go very wrong very fast, sending you home early from a vacation for surgery and a long recuperation. And it disrupts everyone's plans, not just the injured party. Hector and complete strangers were very kind and patient, doing what they could to help. One must wonder how often injuries like this occur on adventure tours, especially since hospital staff were shaking their heads about the frequency with which they see injured tourists. To be clear, we do not blame Share Puerto Rico for this incident or hold them responsible. And it would seem that those in our group climbing into the cave with our guide were safer than the one who stayed behind. Once the unlucky couple rejoined us in OSJ, we called every pharmacy in the area, but not a one had crutches in stock. Luckily we had already rented a mobility scooter for my elderly mother, so my SIL could use it to get to a vehicle for transport to the airport the next morning, and from there the airline sent someone to the curb with a wheelchair. With such an accident, you'll be online and calling for hours to complete tasks like purchasing plane tickets home, arranging special assistance with the airline, getting a rental car transferred over to someone else in the family, cancelling future tours and accommodations and trying to get refunds. You may need a room with seat in the shower (luckily one of our group's rooms had such and we could switch rooms). Such a downer ending to their vacation. Stay safe on your adventures!

Experience Puerto Rico! - Amazing tour of Puerto Rico! The cave exploration was challenging but we were rewarded with many petroglyphs while our guide told us the history of the native Tainos. Tour included a delicious lunch at a local diner, then some Puerto Rican coffee at another stop. Our guide was knowledgable and answered questions with love and passion for this island. Highly recommend.

Amazing day! - I had an amazing day with Hector as our tour guide!! A lot of people have already written about how stunning the locations were (pictures don’t do them justice), so I won’t add too much that hasn’t already been said. I want instead to talk about how friendly and considerate Hector is. You can tell he’s passionate and energetic about Puerto Rico. You’ll be learning fun facts about Puerto Rico, each of the main locations (as well as a few additional towns and landmarks in between each destination), his hometown, and even hear some funny life stories he has. He’s very warm, answers lots of questions, and he does little things throughout the day to help out our tour group, including bringing things like waters, snacks, beach chairs, and he provided lunch at a local restaurant overlooking the mountainside that was delicious! The coffee shop also overlooking the mountainside was also delicious and sells locally grown coffee beans. The locations alone are gorgeous and make the tour worth the price (especially the seaside cave - wow!!), and his hospitality and energy makes it even better!

Unique experience to explore the caves of PR - The caves were really a unique experience. You had to climb through this extremely tiny opening - not for the faint of heart - before you got into this vast open cave. Hector supported every single person very well. We had 79-year-old women that did it, and we had some that opted not to do it. Hector was a very energetic and caring host.
