Highlights
- The Butchart Gardens - Explore of the worlds finest garden displays. This attraction is open year round and they do plant for the season. This is Vancouver Islands biggest attraction.
This is an old Lime Quarry transformed into an amazing display of color and flowers, surrounded by a beautiful lush forest.
- Chinatown - Welcome to Canada’s oldest Chinatown, home to the narrowest Alley in Canada, Fan Tan Alley.
- Craigdarroch Castle - We will stop by quickly to capture some quick photos of the exterior and talk about the Castles and its history.
We are not scheduled to tour inside the castle.
- Beacon Hill Park - Drive through the cities largest inner city park. The park offers beautiful fountains, gardens, free roaming peacocks, and other birds, a petting zoo, and home to the worlds tallest totem pole, standing at 127’ tall 7”
- Fisherman’s Wharf - We will stop by quick to visit one of Victoria most unique houseboat communities. all the houseboats are built in their own unique architect and the wharf is home to some great little eateries such as Barbs Fish and Chips.
- Surfside Adventure Tours - Enjoy a private Luxury City Tour around Victoria and the Butchart Gardens with your own private driver and tour guide.
- Mile Zero - Stop at the start of the Trans Canada Highway on Vancouver Island at its most southern point.
- Government House - We will drive through the beautiful Estate of the Government House in Victoria. The grounds are made up of beautiful lush gardens. We will not be going into the house, we will just stop at the grounds for a quick visit and photos.
- Legislative Assembly of British Columbia - We will stop at an appropriate location so you may take photos of the Parliament Building. It is just as beautiful at night as it is during the day as it is lit up with over 3000 lights outlining its beautiful architect.
- Empress Hotel National Historic Site of Canada - We will stop at an appropriate place to park where you make take some photos of the Historical Empress Hotel and talk about its history.
- Carr House - We will drive by Emily Carr’s birth Place and stop for a quick photo and talk about the history quick as we are doing our Luxury City Tour.

Worth seeing! - Even late in September, there were a lot of flower beds in bloom. The grounds are immaculately maintained and the Japanese garden was very peaceful.

Sandy is awesome sauce - great tour - Excellent tour to give you the overview highlights of Victoria. Helps you to see where you want to explore in more depth. Also provided time to explore the beauty of Butchart Gardens. Sandy was very engaging and made for a fun experience.

Don’t hesitate!! - Our guide Darwin from Surfside Adventures met the six of us at the dock & showed us downtown Victoria. Then off to the Butchart Gardens - he guided us part way & told us what not to miss. We saw other areas of interest on our way back to the ship. All six of us were very impressed with this 4 hr tour!!

A tour not to be missed!! - Our tour guide Darwin was very professional, had a very comfortable van and was very knowledgeable. We had a short drive around the city, hitting the memorable sites and taking pictures then off to the gardens which were just magnificent !!

The perfect way to see Victoria - Making our group tour was fast and easy. Communications with owner, Darwin, was excellent. We had his driver Sandy do or tour. She was a blast and fit right in with our crazy group. She was so much fun, we invited her to join us for our lunch. We could not be happier with how our day went.

Excellent tour of Victoria BC - Darwin from Surfside Adventure Tours did a fantastic tour. He got us right to the gardens before all of the cruise ship buses arrived. We were able to see the gardens and still get back to town to see all of the other attractions: Craigdarroch Castle, China Town, Parliament, Fisherman’s Wharf, tallest totem pole and many old churches. I would recommend Surfside and will use them again if we return to Victoria BC
