A culinary must with love for detail! - I highly recommend this tour. With great attention to detail, you not only learn about the different cuisines found in Cape Town, but also about the people who cook the food and their culture. I particularly liked how much care Dennis took to teach us about the history of Cape Town in connection with the different cultures. It was such a wonderful experience to explore the city far off the beaten track and discover places that you would never have seen before. This tour has filled my heart with impressions, smells and lovely people.

Uniting the flavors and community of Africa - What a fascinating tour encompassing not just the varied foods of South Africa and surrounding countries but the culture and history behind that food. Dennis shared with us restaurants where the food was made with love that showed in every bite and he explained the history of that culture, specifically how it has melded into the fabric of Capetown. This tour really brings community together. We visited restaurants we would have never have visited on our own but would now return to enjoy when visiting Capetown. The spice shop was amazing and I highly recommend bringing some home and enjoying their quality and blends. Food is a great way to experience memories and the African Food and Storytelling Tour goes above and beyond. I recommend doing the tour early in your visit so you can back to your favorite restaurants while you are in town. Thank you Dennis for the everlasting memories and sense of community!

A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE FOR THOSE WHO WISH TO SEE AUTHENTIC CAPE TOWN - I did this tour with Dennis and his colleagues last week and what a wonderfully insightful and authentic way to experience Cape Town and the lives of everyday people living in and navigating the city. Cape Town is an incredibly diverse place, with people from all over the African continent and other parts of South Africa calling it home. Through food, story telling with a sense of humour, and walking the less trodden parts of the city, the tour explains the history of Cape Town, its people and food in an incredibly unique way. We were able to visit a spice shop in a historic location, experience delicious Xhosa, somali, Cape malay, west African cuisines and support small businesses who are the very heartbeat of this city. Thanks to Dennis and his team for putting this experience together, and sharing what is a less seen part of Cape Town with us, safely. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Cape town.

Local flavour, no supper required - Dennis has arrangements with real local restaurants. Places you would be hesitant to try on your own. We do a lot of food tours when we travel…. And this was in the top 2. Go early in your holiday so that you can use the knowledge and recommendations before moving on.

A wonderful experience for foodies and the adventurous - A walking tour through the city of Cape Town, sampling on delicious African cuisine. The story telling of the city’s history and its diverse cultures through food was an amazing experience in understanding South Africa. I love how the tour exposes one to spaces one wouldn’t have known about, just opens another wonderful world within the city. The best kept secret tour of Cape Town inner city, and I would recommend it to any conscious visitor. It was also a lovely experience for us a couple, we made friends.

African Food Tour & Storytelling by Dennis Molewa - So happy that I got a hookup for African cuisine! And learning a thing or two about African food history was top tier 👌🏾 We “uncovered hidden African gems from different parts of Africa” and also contributed to supporting community kitchens and hole-in-the-wall restaurants filled my heart ♥️ Thanks Dennis Molewa 🫶🏾
