Additional Information

The remnants of Koh Ker temple, constructed in the 10th century by Jayavarman IV, are nestled within the northern Cambodian jungle, approximately 75 miles (120km) from Siem Reap. Perched on a 1700-foot (525m) cliff of Dângrêk Mountain in the Preah Vihear province is Preah Vihear Temple, a historical Hindu edifice from the era of the Khmer Empire.

Take a trip to Koh Ker temple, a remarkable 10th-century structure by Jayavarman IV situated in Northern Cambodia’s jungle. This group of over ten temples is a secluded historical location in northern Cambodia, nearly 120 kilometres (75 mi) from Siem Reap and the ancient Angkor site.

Check out Beng Mealea, it mirrors the grandeur of Angkor Wat albeit on a smaller scale.

Great experience - My girlfriend and I spent a wonderful day around Siem Reap to reach Preah Vihear, Koh Ker and Beng Mealea. Our driver was Beav Ang, and our guide Seng Heak. The drive was safe, and the tour brought us exactly were it was supposed to. Ang and Heak have been very professional, available and nice. Sometimes we had some troubles in understanding our guide's english, but that's not the primary language for any of us. Great value!

Unique Cambodia Experience - You should not miss this experience if you have extra day to spend. All 3 temples are different from those in Angkor circuits. Preah Vihear is on a hill on the Cambodia/Thailand border, Koh Ker boasts the pyramid structure and Beng Mealea still preserves its ancient ruin charm. It's more physically demanding than usual trip. It's a 3+ hrs trip to Preah Vihear, further walking towards the hilltop and another few hours in between the other temples. But Mr Hou Choup and Mr Barang were excellent guides that made the trip easy. I had a comfortable ride in Toyota Prius, free cooled bottle water and wet towels. It was a satisfying experience and made my Cambodia trip worthwhile.
