About Biplane and Warbird Rides
Take a trip back in time and fly like they used to—low and slow—in a WWII-era plane. Sit side-by-side with your companion in the front of an open cockpit biplane, while the pilot flies from the back seat. Choose a gentle flight for sightseeing over San Diego's sand, surf, lakes, and floral hillsides. Or, take your chance at "dogfighting" and actually fly a Varga VG-21in a mock aerial combat. You’ll call the shots and do most of the flying on this one (all under the watchful eye of a trained pilot, of course). The company has flown more than 100,000 passengers in 20 years of operation and all pilots are FAA Certified Commercial Pilots.
Review
Something I thought I would never do—go up in a biplane and clearly see a “mommy” whale swimming with her baby down below in the water. The people at this company make it so much fun, it was a glorious experience, one that I will treasure my whole life. It was the best way to see the beautiful San Diego coastline and just a totally magic moment in time. Perfect!
