Cairns, being the number two hotbed of Hipster culture in Australia, is undeniably trendy. But what attributes make it a Hipster haven, and why do Hipsters matter in the larger context of society?

This excursion delves into the influential Hipster scene through the lens of food, coffee houses, urban artwork, premier hair-cutting specialists, and retro shops. Discover the extent to which your lifestyle is shaped by hipster tendencies or if you are, in fact, an unsuspected Hipster…!

The tour renders a comprehensive understanding of the worldwide Hipster movement and its growth in Cairns.

The significance and development of body art as an international phenomenon, the rise of street art, the food fads forwarded by Hipsters (including the creation of vegetarian meal alternatives), and the specialty of upper-class barbers (along with those distinctive Hipster beards!) are all thoroughly examined.

Absolutely wonderful tour! - My husband and I had an amazing time with Georgia on this tour! It was so fun to see Cairns through the lens of the hipster influence. She introduced us to so many cool restaurants, shops and murals that we never would have known about on our own! Georgia has out a lot of time and effort into organizing everything. I'm excited to explore all of the places she showed us now that I'll be living in Cairns for a month. Definitely take the time to go on this tour, it will be a highlight of your trip to Cairns!

Cairns has come alive to me again! - I mean as a local, I knew Cairns was good but now I’ve seen it through a different lense altogether. This tour is brilliant as Georgia’s passion for the history and culture of Cairns shines a whole new light on the city. It really is a wonderful way to spend an hour and a half and for such a great price; accessible for everyone. Hipster or not, you’re going to love the hidden gems that Georgia will reveal to you as you cruise the streets of this beautiful Cairns. Only one negative I need to mention: I just had to go back and spend some money in the new shops and delicious eateries that we popped into!!!! Loved every minute Georgia! Thank you.

Such a fun way to get to know Cairns - The Hipster Walking Tour was great fun. Tattoo parlours, burger bars, funky shops and cool graffiti. Georgia has lots of fun facts and shows you the hippest places to check out and enjoy in the city. I am a local and loved a closer look at the street art. My parents were visiting and loved seeing Cairns through the lens of a hipster. Highly recommended.

Felt like a local - After the walking tour my wife and I connected to Cairns in way we never would have otherwise. We discovered quaint stores and cool food (think organic, farm to table) places and even got discounts for future purchases. And we had an amazing time with Georgia who is one of the warmest, friendliest beings on the planet.

(Re)discover the City - As a Cairns local, I was a little sceptic to this tour at first, mainly because I could never place my perception of 'hipster' together with Cairns. I ended up absolutely loving the tour, thanks to Georgia's incredibly open, grounded nature which makes anyone feel at home in her company. Georgia herself is one of the hidden gems of this tour, with extensive knowledge of the back alleys of Cairns and what's going on in the city. I learned an incredible amount about the town and was able to discover new sights and hotspots to explore thanks to her. This city has long deserved this kind of activity, where locals and tourists can meet, where tourists can get to know the city, and where locals can re-discover their hometown. A definite must, for anyone, when in the city.

A hipster on tour - Georgia definitely got the type of energy a person needs in order to run engaging walking tours. With a nerdescé level of knowledge, coupled with the laid back approach that makes Cairns what it is, she provides participants with an engaging and informative tour. A hipster myself, I especially delighted in her theories on localised hipsterness. Only thing missing from the tour was a micro brewery, but apparently those aren't included in the index developed by the 'murican relocation company that places Cairns as hipster spot number two in Straya.

Two Thumbs Up! - Geogria was really friendly and enthusiastic about the tour, which is good, because one could see that she is also enjoying her "job" and not just going through the motions. I like the idea that this is kind of sampler tour, where Georgia leaves bread crumbs for you to retrace and spend more time on the places you visited more thoroughly.
