- Quebrada del Rio de las Conchas - It is a natural reserve that is located within the Calchaquí Valleys.
- La Garganta del Diablo - The Devil’s Throat in Cafayate is not just another of the formations in the Quebrada de las Conchas, it is the most surprising. The immense walls of reddish rock form a vertical tube similar to the devil’s mouth itself. At the end of the tube you can see the blue sky of Cafayate.

Cafayate, known as the homeland of sunshine and wine, lies in the Calchaquí Valley, situated 180 km away from Salta’s capital city. It’s a gateway to one of the most famed routes in the northern region of Argentina.
The journey begins from Salta city, passing through the heart and southern side of the Lerma Valley, extending into the Quebrada de las Conchas Natural Reserve. An enticing 90 km route through a slender valley encased by vibrant hills, casting shades of red and orange, awaits you. These hills showcase some splendid natural sculptures, such as La Garganta del Diablo, El Amphitheater, Las Ventanas, Los Castillos, La Yesera, El Sapo, etc.
During your stay in Cafayate, you’ll have the opportunity to tour a winery and sample some of their finest wines. Even though Torrontés is often associated with the region, it also cultivates substantial numbers of red grape varieties like Malbec, Tannat, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Lunch isn’t provided, but after you’ve enjoyed your midday meal, you’ll return to Salta following the same path.
